Mother's Day 17

Hello my lovelies I do hope you are all fine and dandy it’s been a looooong while since my last post things have taken an unexpected turn around in my life this last week so now I  can get back to crafting even sooner than I thought yayyyyyy Happy Mother’s Day to all you wonderful Moms out there I hope you get spoiled rotten today.
For those who have read my posts of past you know Doreen has been in hospital for a while now (2 months in all)  she is due to be released soon but I will not be having any part of it. After having to deal with her cruelty towards me all my life and for her to continue it even in her hospital bed then no I am not taking any more so have cut all ties with her.
Having said that the card I have to show you today is the card I made her mother’s day I begrudge both making her a card and buying her one the later because they are all too nice for her with loving verses and that in our relationship is very fake and making a card, I really feel it’s a waste of my time as I put a lot of love and care into my cards and when I make them for her she just throws them on the floor after opening them, So the last few I have made her have been just digital print outs. I have designed the card on my PC then just printed it out not much thought or effort really gone into them in at all and still they are too good.  But this will be my last!

For this card all the elements I have used are from the ubber cute Helga collection. I chose one of the papers from the collection then added one of the toppers, using one of the tags I added the greeting and job done

To finish the card I made the insert using the same paper as on the front and then added a co-ordinating image from one of the design sheets.
And even though it is a really quick and easy card to make I am sure you will agree that it’s still a very pretty one.

Laugh like you just don't care

Hello everyone I hope you are all fine and dandy and weathered storm Doris OK she was a right angry thing wasn’t she. Anyway it seems a little warmer today and a lot less blustery.
My Mother is still in hospital she had taken a turn for the worse over the weekend and her kidneys have now shut down and she has the pneumonia back (caught from hospital this time) When I spoke to the Dr last she said it looks like this is the decline and although they are treating her for the infection it doesn’t look promising.
I have a card for you today  one that I made a good few weeks ago just haven’t had chance to post it due to everything going on. So as I am taking a couple of “quiet days” to get pain down to a manageable level I thought I would post it just to let you know I am still alive and kicking lol

The card is 8x8” and I have distressed and inked in my usual way then torn some parts of them to look even more shabby.

The image is called Dodi by Mo Manning (you can find all links at the end of this post)and I have coloured with a mix of my lovely pencils then masked the image off and created the background using distress inks and stencil brushes.

I printed the sentiment off with the papers and then added 3D tape to attach to the card then to embellish I added a large button with hessian threads tied in a bow.

To finish the card I made the insert with the papers from the front then added the uncoloured image and added a short sentiment to complete it

Hope you like it and hopefully I will see you soon

Challenges Funny cards (well it's a fun card)

Love you to bits

Hello my favourite people I hope you all well I actually felt a little better the weekend so managed to get a little card making done. Seems like forever since I last made a card from scratch.

Anyway I needed to make a card for Valentines for Phil (well we have to show willing don’t we haha (he knows I love him really). My card is my usually 8x8” and papers from pixels scrapper (all links below)

I distressed edges and inked with distress inks then matted onto white card which I coloured again with distress ink.
The image is by Mo Manning called love you to bits isn’t she adorable I had so much fun colouring her (I know I am so easily pleased just give me a cute image and some pencils and I’m as happy as 9 pence)

I coloured with a mix of polychrome, luminance, lyra and Pablo pencils then masked of the image and created the background.

I made some small tags with the greetings and added them with some hessian threads (yep still using them lol) then added some heart buttons to finish the outside.

For the insert I did my usual style using the papers from front and bringing the image through this time fading it into the background and laying the verse over it.

Hope you like it and hopefully I will see you soon
