Ragged Winne

I’m back again my Lovies with another card to share with you. This is another half Polkadoodles half Mo Manning creation with the same LO as my previous cards.(well why not I’m on a roll)
So the LO is very distressed the papers are Polkadooodles from the festive Christmas and Winnie White Christmas ( you can find the link to get to them below)

I made papers straws from the same papers to coordinate and die cut a poinsettia flower and coloured with brushos.

The sentiment was stamped then embossed to give a little extra sparkle it was another freebie stamp from a magazine

The image is called Ragged Winnie by Mo Manning (I adore these Ragged images) which I have coloured with prisma and Pablo pencils. Then I inked around the edges.

To finish off the card I added an insert, hope you like it and I will see you very soon with more makes

On a Snowball

Well hello, I hope you are all well, for those that know me you will know that for most of my life (for one reason or another )I have had to deal with depression, well at the moment I am going through a very dark time I have tried to keep positive but finding harder and harder, I have mentioned it on face book and I speak openly on there about it but on here I try to keep things light hearted, but I feel at times people need to know the truth and that behind the bubbly posts are a lot of tears and desperation.
I do find my crafting helps but even that can sometimes be a struggle when my mood is really low. That being said I am slowly getting ahead with my Chrimbo cards so I should just about get them finished my new year (only kidding).

Today’s card is a mix of 2 of my favourite Artists Nikky Hall (Polkadoodles) and Mo Manning a wonderful combination!

The papers are from Polkadoodles as I keep saying I love love LOVE these collections (Winnie White Christmas and Festive Christmas collection) the papers are just GORGEOUS. I have used the same design as my previous card (why change what you like) I have distressed them then added some cheese cloth to the back, made some paper straws and die cut a poinsettia which I coloured with brushos (loving these).

The image is called on a snowball from Mo Manning Which I have coloured with a mix of Prisma and Polychromo pencils. I stamped the sentiment which as part of a freebie set from a magazine (think it was Card making magazine)

To finish off the card I made a matching insert and there you have it another crossed off my list yayyyyy!!!!

Nordic Santa

Ok so I am trying desperately to get ahead with my Christmas cards, according to my list I have 6 still to make but it feels as though there should be a lot more so I have probably forgotten someone. Eeekkk not good.

Anyway my share today is made using a few kits from Polkadoodles  I used the image from the Nordic collection and papers from Winnie White Christmas and Festive Christmas collection (I adore the papers from this collection).

I distressed the papers (a lot) but haven’t inked them I have been good and resisted the urge lol. Then I added some corrugated cardboard which I coated in diluted gesso and added glitter.
I made some paper straws and a poinsettia flower (I have made a batch of cards in this style, quite like it).
The image is coloured with Prisma, plolychromo Pablo pencil. I added glitter to the printed sentiment and there you the outside done.

I made a matching insert to finish off the card and Hey presto 1 down.

Hope you like it and I will see you tomorrow with another

Christmas Winter theme for Polkadoodles

Hello lovely crafty peeps I hope you are well I’m just getting over a very bad bout of vertigo (uuggghhh) but  hey ho .
Anyway we have gone weekly for our challenges over at Polkadoodles which is great for you guys as double the fun. We have some amazing new teamies so please pop over and say hello to them and make them feel at home.

So the theme this week for us DT girls is Christmas/ Winter and so as I am trying sooooo hard to get my Christmas cards done on time this year I have made it my mission to do as many as possible.

For this card I have made a card blanks 5½x6½ then printed off my papers which are from a couple of Christmas collections (festive Christmas collection & Twiggy &Toots) which I heavily distressed.
I made some paper straws to add to the side using the same papers then added a die cut poinsettia.
The image is coloured with my prisma pencils and is called Rudolph  from the Winnie White Christmas collection.

Finished off the outside with a simple greeting and then made a matching insert for the inside

Special Birthday wishes for a special friend

Hello my crafty friends I hope you’re all well.fty friends I hope you’re all well.
I have to tell you I have been sitting on my hands with this cards so not to show you too soon I have been itching to share it with you but couldn’t as the recipient’s birthday is today!!!!
So Happy Birthday to a very special friend Sandra  65 today (she’ll kill me I know hahah) we have been friends now for nearly 10 years we met online through our blogs then we started to email each other and our friendship progressed from there. We call each other regularly and I go up to see her when our hubby’s footie teams are playing against each other.
So of course I couldn’t share the card on here until I knew she had opened it and ad today is her birthday tah dahh I can now show you

So for this card I have tried to make it more mixed media style and I also made a matching canvas (getting good ain’t I lol)
All the papers and images used are from Polkadoodles Belle papillon and so are the butterflies and flowers (even the one I made were made using the pares from the set.

I added lots of other bits from my stash (key, frames corners etc) and coloured with distress sprays and inks and also starlight acrylics .

The insert was made was made using the papers and one of the images then I added a verse to finish it off.

The canvas was made the same way as card using gesso to cover then texture paste and inks .
Hope you like it and I will see you soon

Winnie White Christmas last day launch

Good afternoon my lovelies I hope you aere enjoying all the Christmas makes for our DT. Girls you are AMAZING!!!!!!!!!
I have to say it was a rocky start for me this release I honestly didn’t think I would be able take put or I would only be able to do a couple of cards so I was  really pleased to get my 7 yes seven little beauties ready.
I also treated myself to the stamp set (Ssssshhhhhh don’t tell Hubster hehehe)  so I’m having a play these too with my tim holtz/tonic stamp station OMG it’s a dream I love it the images are so crisp LOVE IT!!!

AnyHOOOOOO back to the card I made a Kraft card blank using 2 sheets of A4 kraft card then added Kraft to the back of all my papers I was trying to give it a vintagey feeling but still colourful and pretty.
I distressed the papers tearing in some places  and inked with oxide inks (I love these they’re sooooo blendable.

The image Called Winnie and Pengiun has been coloured with a mix of Pablo and Prisma pencils and then mounted onto Kraft card. I then added iced diamond and snow dust to the floor to give the effect of freshly fallen snow. I also masked off the image and went around it with oxide inks to create the background again in doing this these seem more blendable than the normal distress inks.

For the embellishments I took one of the word arts from the set and added clear embossing powder I did this a couple of times to give a good coverage, then I cut out the flower and leaves from the foliage section again I clear embossed the top sections of these then cut into some of the petal to give a more 3D effect then added a flat backed stone. To finish the look I added frontage and splatters of paint to the card.

The final step was the insert and that was done in my usual way (but a little differently) instead of brightening the inner paper and the fading it I just faded the edges letting it merge into the paper behind  then added the uncoloured image and a verse from the sentiment section.
Hope you like it and I will see you again very soon as I think I now have the Christmas bug lol

Winnie Shake it Off

Well Hello again I hope you had a great weekend I had a very productive day yesterday I have to say and am rather chuffed with myself because of it.
I have another card for you today for the Winnie White Christmas launch and I think is now my favourite of the cards I have made (now I have finally finished the full 7 boy I didn’t think I was going to do it)
So for this card I decided to do something I haven’t done in years and that is make a shaker card eeeekkkkk I had the idea in my head but wasn’t sure I could pull it off.

I used a stencil from sweet poppy and I did a few try’s before I was happy using distress inks including oxide but I wasn’t happy with any of them, then I had a brain wave (which is scary for me) and decided to use black card and picket fence distress ink and distress spray paint blending it over the stencil. Then I added some splatters of the spray paint and some diluted acrylic paint before adding my faux snow and glitter.

The frame I die cut about 6 times (Creative expression Dies)and glued together to give it some depth.
For the image I used the pre coloured Winnie buys a Tree which I fussy cut and added to front with 3D tape I also used one of the sentiments from the collection which I die cut out to match the frame.
So there you have my card for today I hope you like it and I’ll see you tomorrow with my final card

WinnieWhite Christmas 2 Robins

Hello again I’m back today with another make for the new release launch of this GORGEOUS  Winnie Collection

For this card I have made a very simple but I think stylish card it’s a 5½ x 5½” card we all have to make loads of Christmas card and some in a hurry also not everyone is keen on colouring and some people are just starting out cardmaking / crafting so I wanted to show how easy it is to make a pretty card using just a couple of elements from the download and some beads and pearls from my stash with a dash of glitter.
All I have used for this card is one of the piece is like I said 2 items from the collection the coloured Robins and one of the sentiments, I then added some glitter (I made the silly mistake of doing this while I had my desk fan on facing me as I was having a hot flush the glitter went everywhere and I mean everywhere) I then added some seed beads and some flat backed pearls and that is it quick and easy and very effective
I hope you like it and please pop over to our Facebook group to see all the new releases which will be going on all week and I will see you again tomorrow with another make

Live your dreams mixed media canvas

Hello my dear crafty friends I hope you haven’t missed me to much!!!!!! If you follow me on Facebook you may have seen I have not been feeling myself lately my depression seems to have raised its ugly head again and I have been struggling to keep on top of it if I’m honest.

Having said that I have been getting the urge to do some mixed media as I have been seeing some amazing work from other crafters creating stunning mixed media pieces.

I have only done a few canvas’ before 4 in fact, 2 for a friend  which were my very first 2 and they were quite basic and simple as it was a couple of years ago. Then I created a couple using digital images and handmade flowers, which were OK and again very simple but I wanted to make a REAL mixed media piece and I think I have done so with this piece. So a first in my eyes.

I started off with a basic idea I wanted to make a bird cage and a dream catcher (have not made either before both made from scratch using cardboard for the main bodies of both.

The  canvas has been covered with paper from the Belle Papillon collection from polkadoodles  and I have made tags and butterflies for the canvas using papers and embellishments from this collection also.

The rest if the embellishments are from my stash, including broken jewellery, cardboard and chipboard corners, it’s all been coloured with Distress Oxide inks and acrylic starlight paints.

I hope you like it and I will see you very soon with more makes honest

Fairy Hippo Birthday

Hiya well I am back today with my 1 make for the new Polkadoodle Helga release  if you haven’t see her you need to get over to Polkadoodles NOW!!! You will fall in love with her.

My card is my usual 8x8” and for this I have used papers image and flowers from the collection
I distressed the papers and inked in my usual way with Rangers DI

For the image I used Helga bw 2 and coloured her in with a mix of polychromo, Lyra and luminance pencils. I added a yellow glow to her wand and then some glitter (well she is a fairy after all)
I created the sentiment myself although here are loads in this download for you to used. I  distressed the edges to tie in and then added some of the flowers from the floral section which I cut out and layered.

To finish off the card I made the insert in my usual way (well if you like ….) Taking a paper from the front and tying in with the image and added a small greeting.

So there you have my card for today I will be back tomorrow with another make for you. Please pop over to our FB group and take a look at all the beautiful makes that are on show for you

Here is a list of all the links you will need to find what I used
