Polkadoodles not a card

Howdy doody Doodle fans  I hope you are all fine and dandy and keeping warm and cozy.  I am so sorry for the very sparse blog posts but Mrs Mojo has vacated the premises and I’m really struggling to come up with the goods so please forgive me.
That being said this project was made before she took off on her very high heels and deserted me so for that I was thankful.
Yes it’s inspriation time for our latest challenge over at Polkadoodles. As always for you guys it’s ANYTHING GOES,  but for us we have a theme which this time is anything but a card. Now those that know me will know I hate such challenges as it’s really outside my comfort zone. The last one I did was for Digi Choosday which was the Christmas tree (here if you want to see it)so of course I had to come up with something else eeekkkkk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And here it is it’s a decoration not sure if it’s for a tree (would have to be a big tree) the width of this decoration is apox 11”  the papers I have used are from Baked with love and Winnie in Winterland collections.

I printed off the plain sheet of coloured paper (I did about 3 or 4) then made 13 large squares (9cm sq)by digitally matting the 2 papers I chose and flipped my paper over and printed on the other side the paper I used is 230 GSM double sided matt photo paper it’s what I use for most of my backing papers. Then I reduced the image size on the print and made 14 smaller squares (7cm sq).
Once printed I cut out the squares and made cone shapes using a hit glue gun to stick into place onto a large circle I cut of card for my base at the back (this doesn’t have to be perfect unless it’s going to be on display or you could make it double sided)Anyway once firmly stuck I needed something for the middle so I remembered I had these glittery poinsettia flowers I brought a couple of years ago so it was just a toss up as which to go for red or gold and yep the gold won.
To finish off I added a length of red ribbon at the back so it can be hung and then decided it needed something else so I added some hot glue to the edges and then added glitter to give a frosty look.
Hope you like it and I will see you very soon I hoe as long as Mrs Mojo returns sharpish (if you see her tell her I miss her and to come home please)
Can’t wait to see your makes when you join us this time

Here is a list of all the links you will need to find us so no excuses
