Hello my lovelies have you missed me Oh Boy have I missed crafting!!!!! My mojo has gone completely AWOL and my heart is just not in it I have no idea why? Well I kind of do I always struggle this time of year I think I just hate the Christmas card making (I know I know how can I not I like making Christmas cards?) I know I can just never get into it until the very last minute then it’s madness or shop brought cards as may be the case this year!
This card I have for you today is a birthday card and I have had it designed on my computer for 2 months yes 2 months but just haven’t had the motivation to get it made, but needed to get my finger out as it’s needed for this weekend Phil’s Grandad is turning 90 on Saturday so I wanted to make him a card as it’s such a special age and he is such a special man(reminds me so much of my Dad). When Mo Manning brought this image out I knew it was for him so that’s how long the card has been in my head for.
Anyway it’s finally done and here it is. It’s really clean and simple in design
8x8” card with paper by pixels scrapper which has been distressed and inked.
Then the image called He’s still got it has been coloured using Pablo and Polychromo pencils, then masked off and distress inks used to make the background. The sentiment was computer generated and printed with the image.
I then cut the image out using Sue Wilson dies I also made a frame for it using the same dies
Then for the insert I found a lovely verse suitable for most ages and just changed things a little. I used the same paper from the front, and the un-coloured image to tie everything together.
So there you have it I think this is the longest a card has taken me to make (but not project that is still in the making lol)
I will see you again on Friday with my inspiration DT post for Polkadoodles (this was made before my mojo did a runner)
