Dies and punches at Digichoosday

Hello my dears I hope you are all well and this post finds you fine and dandy.
As you can see it’s Tuesday so that means it’s New challenge time over at Digi Choosday The weeks seem to be flying by so quickly hard to think we’re half way through the year already oh boy! Anyhooo back to today’s post don’t forget to head over to our challenge Blog not only to join the fun but also to get your digichoosday discount code that will give you a discount on all images (not collections please see main post for details) you purchase until midnight tonight.

So we are changing things up a bit over at Digi Choosday we'll still have a theme which this week is DIES AND PUNCHES but we're also going to make this optional and have an ANYTHING GOES theme every week so no excuse not to enter!!!! lol   I really enjoyed making this card (I think I say that every week but it’s true)
For my card which is my usual 8x8” I have used papers and image from the Winnie fruit punchcollection .The papers have been printed onto matt photo paper then distressed and inked with cracked pistachio and spun sugar DI. The LO is from Jules over at always with a heart her sketches are so easy to follow and look amazing when done I really look forward to seeing the new ones come as it makes a change from seeing the same old designs being used.
The image Winnie just for you has been coloured in with a mix of prisma derwent colour soft and polychrome pencils then cut out and distressed and inked to tie in with the card.
So where have the dies and punches come into it I hear you ask well I am just coming to that. I used them to make the flowers most of you will know that I love making my own flowers for my cards they are so much cheaper than shop brought ones and if you colour them yourself you always have to right shade and colour for what you need perfick!!!!!!!
So I cut out various flowers shapes from dies and punches from coffee filter and water colour paper and coloured with distress inks then built the flowers up adding micro beads to the daisy ones.
To finish off the front I added a large fussy bow that I made from organza ribbon which I coloured using an alcohol marker.

For the insert I used a paper from the front which I added a white matt then brought the image through and faded it into the background then added the wording over the top just adding a greeting one side and simple short verse on the other.
And voila my card is done I hope you like it and more so I hope you will join us for this challenge.
I will leave you with another look at the super cute image and a list of challenges I would like to enter and I will see you all very soon
Links you will need!!

Happy Crafting
