Let the fairy in you fly

Hi Guys I hope you’re having a great weekend it’s been a really warm here and although I have been in a LOT of pain I have still enjoyed the sun I love the sun!!!!!!

I have a make for you today but it’s not a card  something different from me I have done another canvas as I had soooooo much fun making the last one so I decided to make another this time using different colours and image. I will warn you there are a few pics although I have grouped them together in frames to try and make it less boring to look at lol

So here it is it’s appox 8x10” in size and I started by adding a smaller canvas to the top corner where the flowers are to add depth this is about 3” sq and glued them in place with handmade texture paste giving it a coat of gesso. Then I added loads of texture with stencil paste and handmade texture paste. I then painted over everything once dry with bluey teal and grey colours.

The images are from Polkadoodles the toadstools are from the Lily Bug Love collection and I won them in a challenge a while ago the gorgeous fairy is called Octavia I have coloured them all with a mix of Polychromo and luminance pencils

Then for the toadstools I added some fluffy stuff (what a great name) to the white dots and then aged with frayed burlap DI. Once that was done I added glossy accent to give them a shine and then fussy cut everything out and stuck down with 3D tape and pinflair glue.

The flowers were made from coffee filter papers and water colour papers which had been coloured using DI’s in mermaid lagoon cracked pistachio hickory smoke and iced spruce. I then die cut and punched flower shapes out of them using various dies and punches putting them together to build the flowers adding stamens and micro beads.
I also added glitter paste and felt washers to add more texture and some fluffy wool.
I decided it needed a sentiment and as I am not the best stamper around and I didn’t want to mess it up so I took a piece of tissue paper and sellotaped it to a piece of card and then used one of the sentiments from the Octavia collection and put the tissue paper through my printer keeping everything crossed it went through ok and didn’t snag and tear. When it was printed I cut out and stuck to the canvas using handmade mod podge.

And there you have it I hope you like it and I will see you soon  you still have loads of time left to join us over at Digi Choosday for our challenge this week (Flowers)
