Add bling for Digi Choosday

Hello my lovelies I hope you are all fine and dandy. For me it's happy dance time as I get to show you my very first DT card for Digi Choosday whoohooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Remember to head over and get your discount code for today

So our theme this week is  ADD BLING  That means gems glitter (well you know what it means don't you really all the things we love!!!!)
For my card I needed to make  a card for Phil's Nan whos birthday was Sunday so when I was given some images to play with I  knew exactly which I was going to use.

My card is A5 (I know not my usual shock horror how will we cope hahaha) and I have used the design sheet and papers from http://www.polkadoodles.co.uk/winston-deluxe-full-collection/
I printed off a variety of the papers and cut into diagonal strips and matted on to white card then attached to a piece of pink card which was then added to my card blank. I added the papers in opposite directions to add depth and interest

Then from the Etty sewing design sheet I took the topper and added that to my card (Phil's Nan used to be a steamstress when she worked so I thought this was pretty fitting for her.
I took the dressmakers dummy from the embellishment section and layered it 3 times then added glossy accent and glitter

The edges of the sentiment and image have been inked with shabby shutters DI and then I finished the outside of the card with some flat backed gems.

To finish the card I made the insert from one of the papers I used for the front added a white matt so I could add the Etty digi stamp and a small verse

So there you have it my very first DT card for Polkadoodles Digi Choosday I hope you like it and that you will join us for this weeks challenge also why not join us on Facebook there is always something going on and loads of inspiration.

So I will leave you for now take care and see you very soon

Happy Crafting

Congratulations on your first DT post and what a corker it is. AND as you say very "fitting" for a dressmaker, sorry couldn't resist that. A BEAUTIFUL card which I'm sure she loved.
