Fixer Boy

Happy Weekend crafty friends I hope yours has gotten off to a great start mine has as I have managed to put together another card that is just for fun yayyyyy. I am loving getting these cards done (don’t know how long it will last though before something comes along to take over but I’m making the most of it (O; )

So without further drivel from me I shall show you my little creation
I say little hhhmmmmm it’s another 8x8” Oh come on you know ho9w I looooooove making this size card I just can’t help myself

The papers are from pixel scrapper and I have distressed and inked with mustard seed and faded jeans DI

The image is of course from Mo Manning and is called fixer boy (isn’t he the sweetest I bet he’ would be a real cheeky terror IRL) he has been coloured with my lovely polychromo pencils (they’re shrinking) then I used a mask of the image to cover the colour version and stippled the background using a mix of blue and brown distress inks.
I then distressed the edges (I know there is a lot of distress in my life lol) then inked with faded jeans DI around the edges

The embellishments I made using some free clip art I printed them out onto thick (very thick) card then cut out by hand inked the edges to hide any white then covered with a couple of coats of clear ink and clear embossing powder to harden more and give a shiny effect.
The sentiment was printed off with the paper and I inked that mustard seed to match the rest.

For the insert I again use the same papers from the front and brought the image through fading it out and using it as a background for the verse
I’m off now to watch the voice and Casualty so will see you soon and I will leave you with am list of challenges and another look at the gorgeous image

Happy Crafting

Hi, Jacki! Your coloring is WONDERFUL! It's a beautiful card. I enjoy larger cards, also. With the little tools and pretty papers, no wonder you required a larger card! It's really pretty. Thank-you for joining us at the Crafts Galore Encore Challenge #25.

Beautiful image coloring, nice color combo and a very handsome boy card, especially with the added tools. Saw this on SAS4Kids and it caught my eye.

Hi! I'm so glad I stopped by for a closer look at your fabulous card! Your coloring is great--you really got rich color with your pencils and it makes me want to get my pencils out today. I can't believe you made the little tools--they look like chipboard. I must have this digi--the little guy looks like my grandson, Ben, who is 15 cute months old! Thanks for sharing your talents!
