Cheek to cheek

Hello guys I am sooo sorry I have not been around much on either blog or FB card making at the moment is not on the agenda as I have my mother in hospital seriously ill this in itself is not good but the journey to and from the hospital plus the time I spend visiting is taking its toll on my ears I am having to go one day then have 2-4 rest to recover for the next visit. Anyway it’s going to a long progress so apologies for inactivity

I do have a card for you today it’s an Anniversary card I made for my dear parents in law their wedding anniversary was the 1st of the month so I made them this card a couple of weeks ago
It’s my usual 8x8” but I have tried to keep it more of a white on white styke rather than colour. There is obviously some colour added but just little pops

The papers are freebies (all links below) and I used sketch(25) from jules for LO
The image is from Mo Manning called cheek to cheek which I coloured with a mix of pencils,  then using a mask of image I created my background using DI. I printed the greeting off with the image as I wanted it be minimal in bits added on.

To embellish the card I used a length of hessian and lace which I added to the card before adding the image then added a shabby bow of hessian and cord threads attached to a large button.

To finish the card I made the inert in my usual style using papers from the front and bringing the image through to tie it all together, then added the verse

Hope you like it and hopefully I will see you soon

I love your anniversary card, Jacki. The image is so sweet and beautifully coloured, and the papers and hessian co-ordinate so well.
