Skater girl (not 1 but 2)

Well hello again I bet you didn’t expect to see me again so soon did you well I don’t have one card for you today but 2 yes you read correctly 2! I made them over a few weeks as my mojo is not playing at the moment I have no idea what is wrong with it. No matter how I try and tempt it to come and play it sits there in the corner with it’s back to me, My mojo is not my friend at the moment at all!!!!!!

I know I am not the greatest at colouring darker skin tones so please forgive me I am trying to improve

So I coloured the images first over a couple of days, I coloured the first one (darker skin tone)using prisma and derwent colour soft pencils, then the 2^nd in polychromo and luminance pencils I wanted to keep the colours as close as possible  because 1, I wanted to see how the different makes of pencils varied in colour and I hadn’t really tried  this before and 2, I wanted to use the same papers and LO for both cards so made sense to keep as close as .possible. The image is from of course Mo Manning and she is called Skater c  & skater s

Then went on and made the card using papers from the new Winnie in Winterland collection at Polkadoodles the papers were just perfect for these adorable little cuties. I distressed the papers  and inked with DI then matted onto white card (also distressed) then added some bright pink ribbon to blend with the pink in the smaller piece of paper I then added the image to white card (again distressed the edges of both) and then added a large fussy bow, to which I added a gold coloured snowflake and gem.

Then to finish off I added splats of diluted acrylic paint to both cards (I so enjoy doing this lol I know I ‘m such a big kid haha)

To finish the card I created the insert in my usual style bringing through one of the papers and the image to tie it all together.

And Tah-dah…..
