Birthday Trike

Hello my lovelies I hope you’re all fine and dandy something that can’t be said for out July weather )o: so much for summer!!!
Still I have a sweet bright card for you today that will hopefully help bring a bit of sunshine to you hahaha
I was asked the last week if I could make a card for a little girls 1st birthday it’s hard to believe that this time last year I was making a new baby card for her parents & grandparents how the time has flown. I asked the Mummy if there was anything she wanted in particular and she asked for a little girl with presents and or cake. I did have a little panic attack thinking I had nothing like that but I should have known I would somewhere among my images so off I went to have a look showed mummy a couple then found  the one that was used (o: (happy face)

So the card is 8x8” as you should know lol and the papers are freebies but can’t remember where from (sorry). They have had my usual treatment of distress and inking with worn lipstick and spun sugar DI.

The image is called Birthday Trike from Mo Manning can you believe this is the first time I have coloured her (I know terrible) I used polychromo and luminance pencils to colour then cut out and distressed the edges then inked to match the rest of the card. I am soooo pleased with how the balloon turned out it looks almost good enough to pop lol.

To embellish the card I die cut 5 balloons (the die was free with a magazine a while ago)again colouring in with the same pencils then added glossy accent and embroidery thread then popping then behind the sentiments. It didn’t need much more to it as I had added a length of ribbon down the side for texture but I thought it needed a little something else as you’re only 1 once lol so added a big fussy bow

Then for the insert I found a verse that was suitable for a 1st birthday and with a couple of tweaks mummy was happy and job done in usual style taking one of the papers from the front the matting with a white piece and bringing the image through to tie it all together.

I hope you like and I will see you very soon with another make but until then I will leave you with a list of challenges and another look at the super sweet image

What a sweet and beautiful card here, and very suitable for a little girls 2st. birthday. It has everything to celebrate it in a good manor.
Thanks soooo much for joining the challenge here at Card and Scrap, but that challenge is not ATG but Anything goes this month, in case anybody else here want to participate too. Have a great summer everyone.
