Howdy doody everyone I hope you are all fine and dandy and
are not to washed out with this awful weather we have had I can’t remember the
last time I have seen so much rain in such a short period where the sun!!!!!!!
Has anyone else noticed blogger is not being very friendly
lately if you have a signature in your post (Hmmmmmpphhhh not a happy BUNNY)
Anyways eeeeeeekkkkkkkk I’m so excited I have some
absolutely fantabulous news to tell you all very soon (squeallll) can’t wait but sssshhhhhhh can’t tell you just
yet you will just have to watch this space I’m sooooo excited (did I say that already well I am).
I have had a few cards to make this week 2 sympathy cards
never nice cards to make but especially when they’re for family members. I will
show these at a later date. Then my dear friends hubby has a birthday on Monday
so I needed to get one made for him as it’s his 70th and he’s a big
Burnley fan so it was a football related card I opted for (men are so much easier to make
for if they love a sport) And then the card I am showing today is using
the image I posted on my FB timeline a couple of days ago as a WIP I really
enjoyed colouring the image even though I made it quite large so was a little
daunting.
The card is from my Mom in Law to send to her Mom and I
thought the image was fitting to my Mom in Laws childhood in a way as she is
the eldest of 2 girls so that was my line of thinking… anyway here is the card
It’s my usual 8x8” and the papers are freebies but I can’t
remember where they are all from I think it was cajoline-scraps but not 100%
sure (forgot to make note)
I distressed the edges and inked with various pink distress inks then matted
the smaller pieces onto white card which I also distressed.
The image is from Mo Manning and called Cathy and Beth(merged)and I have coloured
them using a mix of polychromo, luminance and Pablo pencils (getting good ain’t I hahaha only
joking) I then cut the image out distressed the edges and inked added
the sentiment before sticking into place.
For the embellishments well I didn’t want to overdo them so
I kept it pretty simple and used a digital embellishment from the Winnie Sugar
Sprinkles collection (if you haven’t seen it you should
check it out super cute)I printed the flower element off a couple of
times cut it out then decoupaged it adding micro beads and sparkles to the
centres. And that was pretty much it for the outside.
For the insert I did my usual taking some of the papers from
the front and faux matting with a white matt then adding the image to the
bottom corners to tie it all together then because it the card was for my Nan
in Law and those who read regular will she loves a card with a verse (the verse makes the card as she
says)I had to add a good one (I
hope I did OK).
So there you have it my card for today I hope you like it
and I will definitely see you very soon with more cards oh and yes my exciting
news (eeeeekkkkkkkkk!!!!!!!!)
