He really is a whiz of a Wiz

Hello my lovelies I hope you are all fine and dandy and have had a wonderful weekend ours was very quiet which was much needed after our mid week shopping spree. Anyways I’ll get straight to it today with the card I have for you and I am so happy with this one. Again it’s for no other reason than just because I wanted to make it, so here it is. So the image now those who know me on FB will have seen my WIP pics I post of this image but if you missed them here they are

 Now for the finished product

The card is 8x8” (would you expect anything else from me) and the papers are from pixel scrapper  which I have printed off and distressed then inked with mowed lawn and faded jean DI

The sketch I followed is from Always with a heart, Jules has quite a few to choose from now and, from what I can see she will be adding more over time (yayyy).

The image is by Mo Manning called Wiz and I have been dying to colour it ever since I saw the amazing piece of art produced by Amanda Jensen.

I have coloured him entirely with polychrome pencils no blending solution has been used only pencil on pencil blending I used Amanda’s image as a reference point to help me create the depth and folds in the hat and gown as like I always say I am still learning so any help is greatly received :oD
For the background of the image I did use a spectrum noir marker then I masked the image added distress inks directly over to ground him and add more depth

To embellish the card I just added some simple die cut glitter stars as I didn’t want to take anything away from the image.

Then it was on to the insert, as always I used papers from the front and also brought the image through fading it out and adding a short greeting over it. On the opposite side I added the same hat that I used in the harry potter card which I roughly coloured.

And so there you have it, my card for today I will leave you with another look at the fabby image and a list of challenges I would like to enter it into.
