Have a beary Happy Birthday

Hiya my wonderful crafty friends I hope I find you all fine and dandy on this very cold Saturday. It’s been a pretty good week here Phil treated me to a couple of days in Chester, where we hit the shops both in the town centre and Cheshire Oaks. We did Cheshire Oaks first and I am so glad we did as that was the better day, Thursday was so cold and wet but that didn’t spoil it for us.

Of course we had to take things really easy keep going somewhere quiet(er) for me to have a rest as it was pretty loud for me even though it wasn’t as busy as it say a week or so ago. But I have the “background” music outside and in ALL shops that really isn’t “background” music at all as you can’t hear yourself think let alone speak  really I mean why the need (no I not getting old  it causes pain) then there is the general noise of people and the beeps of tills and the alarms (you get the picture) but I got a few bargains and now I am resting and trying to get ears back to a manageable pain level (which is hard)

So as promised I have a card for you today I can post it now as I know the birthday girl has received it (it’s her birthday today)

It’s an 8x8” card I have kept it to the same sort of style I did my Christmas cards and also my other very special friends Birthday back in October. Like I said you will see more of this style as I really enjoy doing it

I printed the image and sentiment off together then coloured the image called little bear by Mo Manning with polychrome pencils

I distressed the edges of the paper and image and inked with fired brick DI

Then I die cut some flowers from Britannia dies and made the flowers before putting them together I inked the edges with fired brick, then, once dried added the stamen.  The flourish was embossed with clear embossing powder

For the insert I used the  same paper as on front an also brought the image through this time I decided to colour it rather than leave it black & white, I found a fitting verse in my library so added this and bingo jobs a good ‘Un

So there you have it I hope you like the card and I will leave with another look and super sweet image and a list of challenges I would like to enter it into

Challenges ATG  ATG Flowers Everything goes ATG CAS Something old something new (new image and old flower dies) ATG atg  ATG with option twist of CAS (which I have done)

Happy Crafting

Oh! Jacki this is gorgeous, love the bear and your colouring is gorgeous, love the design too.

How lovely to have a break and a little shopping, I agree about the music in shops, how the assistants put up with it all day goodness knows.
