Dream Big

Hello crafty peeps I do hope you’re keeping warm it’s been so cold here the last couple of days, AND I was horrified when I got up this morning and put some rubbish out to see we had had a scattering of the awful white stuff (gasp shock horror OH NO!!!! ).

Any how I am so enjoying things at the moment as I am getting plenty of time to make just for fun cards and they’re really the best sort to make because you can do what the heck you like. You don’t have to think about who it’s for what colour they like blah blah.

So my card is again an 8x8” (I am going to be doing some different sizes I promise)and I’m trying to make a few more boy/male cards as I always seem to be making female cards. You may have noticed :oD

The papers are from craftsville and Nitwits and I used another of Jules sketches for the LO I distressed and inked the edges of the papers using brushed corduroy and faded jeans DI

The images are both from Mo Manning and I have merged them together they are called Dream and Airplane.

(Now I dont know if you know this but the lovely ubber talented lady is having a 20% sale on her images when you use the code provided on her site AND she has also added some super adorable new images AND she has also started doing some in PNG format for those of us not very savvy in removing the backgrounds (yayyyyyyy) )

Well back to my card the images have been coloured with polychromo pencils I then cut out and distressed and inked the edges of the image.
The embellishments I made by taking one of the planes on the paper and printing it off 3 times on to very thick card then I cut out and embossed with clear embossing powder. Attached them with 3D tape along with the sentiment and there you have it.

For the insert I used the same papers as on the front and also brought the images through this time leaving them separate and putting one on either page along with a greeting and a short verse.

And that is it for now I will leave you with another look at the images and a list of challenges I would like to enter it into

Brilliant! Love all those inky, distressed edges & your colouring is FABulous! And the colour combo is definitely a winner.....love it! Hope all is well with you, hun....sounds like you're enjoying some good old crafty time. We've had some of the white stuff too, didn't stay though cos it's been raining cats & dogs for most of the day. Take care & keep warm!
