Get well

Hello my crafty lovelies I hope you’re all fine and dandy and have had a good weekend. I can’t tell you how glad I am to see the back of this last week it has been an emotional rollercoaster I can tell you that much firstly on Monday I get discharged from the nutty Professor not that he or the NHS mental health service had helped me in the slightest, they have no idea how to help people with any mental health issues to call them the crisis team well they cause more of a crisis than help prevent one is all I will say so happy to see the back of them. Then on Tuesday it was the first of 2 funerals (yes 2 in a week) this one was one no one wanted to go to (I know we never want to go to any funeral but this one a hard one). To say it was emotional is an understatement and no young family so have to bury their 5 week old baby. I did make them a card and I will post it at some stage but not yet I don’t think the time is right . I won’t name names but obviously the family knows who they are and hopefully know how much love and respect I have for them all, you did her proud!! The on Thursday we had to go Phil’s Mom’s next door neighbour’s funeral again very sad as she is was someone Phil has known since he was about 6 years old and I have known for nearly 30 years. Then to top it all on Wednesday I had a phone call from my very dear friend’s hubby to tell me she was in hospital very poorly. So to say I am glad to say farewell to this week is an understatement.

Anyway as you have probably guessed then my card is a get well soon card for my very dear friend, she has been a friend for about 7 years or more we found each other through blogland  and making cards and became very close even though we live a good few miles apart. We are always sending emails and messages and phone calls and she has been with me through all the crap I have been through lately even though she suffers from chronic pain herself.  So obviously I had to make time to make her a card, luckily now she is back home but has a long way to go still and I am sending big cyber hugs her way.

Anyhooo here is my card, I knew straight away what image I was going to use and of course those that know me will know it’s of course a Mo Manning work of art which can be found here
I have kept the card really clean and simple with no embellishments and minimal layers (only 2 how did I cope???!!!!!) the paper and heart frame were from pixel scrapper I just altered the colour of the frame from black to red to go with my theme and the paper.

I added the image and sentiment to the frame and printed off then coloured the image with prisma pencils blending with the lightest shade then a colourless blender to even things out.

Then it was a case of finding a verse that was fitting for a very talented card maker and friend and I think I found one so I added the image and frame to bother sides and job done .

I hope you like it and hopefully it won’t be to long before I see you again I am trying so hard to get Christmas cards done (but failing miserably)0: ) so I really need to try harder and get them done times running out super fast eeekkkkkkkk!!!!!

I will leave you with another look and the super cute image and until next time

Happy crafting xx

What an awful and very emotional week for you, I'm glad you found the strength to cope. I agree about the Mental Health system, we have been with them for 10 years with my son. We needed help one night so called the Crisis Team, they couldn't come as he" hadn't been referred by his GP!" even though he had been under them a month or 2 before. SO glad you are better though, such an ordeal for you. Take care of yourself.

Your card is beautiful and what a wonderful verse you found, it's perfect. So glad to hear your friend is home, hope her recovery isn't too long.

xx

Hello Jacki. What a wonderful and very special friend you are. I just love this card and it sure put a smile on my face. Things have not been good of late, and my stay in hospital was made all the more comfortable by the wonderful caring staff that took care of me.
Then I have my SPECIAL FRIEND, who always makes the time to create a fabulous card to brighten my day and help me to recover. It is slow process, but I have to go into hospital again soon for an operation, then hopefully I may start to feel a little better in myself. I miss my crafting and blogging, but hopefully I will get back to it soon.
Thank you very much for all your love and support Jacki, you really are a TRUE FRIEND
Lots of love. Sandra xxxx

Life sure can dish it out sometimes, can't it? Gosh, you are so good. I came here for QKR stampede and am having a hard time leaving. Love all your cards. I do so enjoy a cute and beautifully colored image. Your friend will feel better the moment she sees this. I've made some very good friends through blogging, too.
