My fabulous Dad

Hi Everyone I hope you’re all fine and dandy. Well it looks as though I spoke to soon about the sun it’s wet and miserable here today. )0:

Well I have another birthday card for my hubby to show you, this one is from Amy (our Daughter) and although she is 23 (yes I feel so old) whenever she wants something or is creeping she puts on a certain face (I’m sure most parents will know the face I mean) so when I was looking for an image and came across the one I am using in my Mo Manning folder ( yes she her own folder lol) I knew it was the one to use.
 Anyhoo here’s my card

It’s an 8” square and papers are from pixel scrapper, which have been jackified (making my own words up now hehe it just means Distressed and inked) I printed the sentiment off at the same time. The sketch I followed for LO was last weeks sketch Saturday sketch

I printed the image onto water colour paper she is called fabulous so of course I had to use that in the sentiment somehow.

She has been coloured in with prisma pencils and I used some acrylic glaze for her glasses. I then made a mask of her so I could do the background ( inks used tumbled glass, broken china, faded denim, antique linen, pumice stone, frayed burlap) Once she was cut out I mounted her onto another piece of the main backing paper.

I added a large blue button with thread and die cut the sentiment out (and jackified it (0:)  but I felt as though it needed something else so I went looking through my stash for that whatever it was that was missing. The answer sequins ah-ha haven’t used any in an age and a half so I though why not they’re not to girly as I have loads of shapes and blue colours so that is what I did, adding a few to the image and sentiment.

I needed a verse to go inside I had decided I didn’t want anything mushy that’s not Amy  so looking through my verse folder (Yes I have a folder for those too everything digital has a folder I’m so glad most of my stuff is on my EHD and not physical I’d have to have another house just for papers lol) anyway I came across the one that I have used it suited both Amy (she can be so tormentative )and the image.

So there you have my last birthday card for Phil next up will be the anniversary card I am half way through doing so stay tuned

Enjoy the rest of the weekend the sun has just decided to peep through the clouds here yayyyyyyy I will leave you with a list of challenges and another look at the gorgeous image see you soon xx
