Pignon

Hi everyone I hope you well, I know I have been out of service for a few days but trust me I have been busy making as well as playing. It was my birthday yesterday and my wonderful hubby and daughter brought me some colour soft pencils (derwent) prisma verithin and art grip so you guess what I have been doing. I am so in love with using pencils at the moment for my colouring medium I would have never imagined that in a million years especially after using promarkers for so long.

Anyway we have quite a few birthdays coming up in the next month or so and also, with father’s day not too far away I have plenty of cards to be making. Plus a couple of wedding cards I have been asked to make so super busy yayyyyyyyy.

So without any further ramblings I will show the card for today. This card I made last week but haven’t had chance to past it yet with one thing and another.

It’s an 8x8” card the papers are freebies from pixel scrapper and have been distressed and inked with fired brick & walnut stain DI.

The image is called Pignon and is from the wonderfully talented Mo Manning and I coloured this in using polychrome pencilsyou can find the image here

I then cropped the image using just the toadstools so I could cut them out and use as embellishments I just added glossy accent and glitter to then once they had been coloured and cut out. The sentiment was computer generated and inked with frayed burlap DI then I added a couple of gems to the top corners and basically that was it for the front.

Then I made the insert I had printed the papers that I used on the front and also brought the image through and added a verse. I was going to leave the image uncoloured but then decided I wanted to give it some colour so I did I think it sets off a little more.

And so there you have my card for today I hope you like, I promise I will be back more regular from now on I am trying to manage my time more effectively to give me more crafting time and well need more of that don’t we?!!!!
I will leave you with another look at the gorgeous image and a list of challenges I would like to enter it into
