Hello everyone Just wanted to pop on and say a BIG HELLO to my new followers it's lovely to have you here and I do hope you will stay with me as I always say kettle is always on as long as you bring cake!!! lol
Anyhooo not going into it to much but I was lucky enough to be able to purchase a set of 120 polychromo pencils late last week and they were delivered to my door on Sunday (Amazon is amazing!!!) so I sat there and opened the box/ tin and .... well I found myself stroking them they felt soooooo goood (does sound as wrong as it feels typing it.. oh well I have issues....) then I thought maybe it would be an idea to stop stroking them, it was starting to feel weird at this point and colour something eeekkkkk.
I had got myself some Prisma pencils for christmas (a gift for myself... why not) and totally fell in love with them looked up all the tutorials I could find and practised and I have seen so many lovely results with these Poly's that I really wanted to take my colouring to the next level if that makes sense. Don't get me wrong I love my promarkers and distress markers and will still be using them (I have spent way to much not to) but really wanted to push myself as Art was one thing I loved at school.
I then looked at some tutorials of polychromo pencils and thought I was way out of my depth HELP!!!!!!!!!!!! But you know me never give up at the first hurdle (2nd maybe never the first lol) and I also joined a group on FB to learn more and have met some lovely people who are so so talented.
Now was the moment of truth I decided what images to print off and I had a play the first one I will admit I only did a bit and it went in the bin as she looked so jaundice I had no idea how to bring her back to health eeekkkkk, but never mind only a piece of paper/card
Here is my first polychromo piece now it's not a card it is just the colouring and as far as colours were going for skin tones I was playing blind as I really had/ have no idea what works best but I'm reasonably pleased with this for my first attempt (did I mention it was my first attempt yet lol)
Yes I kind of opted for an easy option in the image I used but I do love these images and they cry out to be coloured this way I think
Then Today I felt brave again and had another go with another of these Sugar nellie images this time I went for a blue mood and used one of my favourite images
I even gave her freckles sorry for the lighting on the last image it was dark when I finished it and wanted to take a pic (couldn't wait til tomorrow) so obviously had the light on and it's really naff in here
But i have to say I am quite pleased with myself and gave myself a small pat on the back and a gold star :0D
So this what I have been up to no challenges to be entered to just want to show you what I had been doing.
I hope you are all well and have a wonderful weekend and I will see you again very soon maybe even with a card lol.

Wow, absolutely amazing! You are a master with those markers Jacki! Stunning job with the hair! hugs :)
WOW! Jacki these are stunning. The texture and highlights you've achieved on the hair make them look like painted portraits. If this is your first attempt what will you produce when you've really got used to them. Amazing.
