Final Sailor boy for now

Good afternoon and a very big welcome to my newest followers I do hoe you enjoy your visits remember kettle is always on if you want a chit chat :-D Well it's been quite cold here today during the week I thought spring had arrived for sure now I'm not so certain however clocks go forward tonight so onwards and upwards as they say (I still don't get wwhy change the clock settings twice a year but heyho)

Well as my title will have already told you today's card is another of my nautical designs using those ever so sweet images from Mo Manning
This is the last one (for a while anyhow)

Papers are freebies and have been distressed and inked as per usual I added some blue ribbon the horizontal piece (from stash) some of the layers of papers have been faux matted digitally before printing off.

The adorble image (I have fallen hook line and sinker for this little chap) has been coloured with pro markers. Yes I got my markers out for a change and totally had a blast with them can you tell? When I had finished co,ouring him in I decided to ground him so put some colour underneath again using my markers then I got a mask of the image and covered my coloured one then went over him with faded jeans, broken china and tumbled glass DI using a stippling brush for each colour, I was really happy with how the backgound came out then I distressed the edges and inked then added to my card

The embelliahments were freebies aswell and if you have read previous posts you know what I do to them so won't go into that

Then to finish off I made an insert using papers from the card front and also bringing the image through

This time I have decided not to colour then insert image and then I added the button candy to the corners of the white matt. Completing the look I added a short verse and there you have it.

Well it's gone really dark here and is only mid afternoon looks like more rain (oh Joy)
Still have a wonderful crafty weekend whatever the weather and I will leave you with a list of challenges and another look at the super cute image
Thanks for popping over

Fabulous - love the colour combination and the image is just gorgeous. Great work carrying the image to the inside of the card and more classy to leave in black and white. Love your card. Thank you for sharing it with us at Aud Sentiments and good luck in the draw. Ann xxx
