Happy Easter to those that celebrate and to those who (like me) just like the chocolate lol
Well I can't believe how cold it still is there is a real chill in the air and it needs to go away and let the sun out.
So how are we all good I hope and getting loads of crafting done over the long weekend, Oh I wish every weekend was a long one :0D
Well I do have a card for you today I coloured the image a couple of weeks ago I have this thing at the mo where all I want to o is colour I am finding it so relaxing.
Anyhoo here is my card
I made the card blank into an 8x8" (I ran out of my brought ones :0/ ) oh well have loads of card I can use for now. and also made the papers using plain colour mats (digitally of course) then adding an overlay of polka dots which I changed in size to suit my needs
When I printed them off I distressed and inked with antique linen (I was surprised how green this came through although used it loads of times) and picked raspberry. Then matted onto whate card which was also distressed.
The image is of course another master piece from Mo Manning called Erin and can be found here
I coloured her in with polychromo pencils. I know I am still learning with these and have a long long way to go but I'm loving using pencils at the mo :0D
I used a sentiment that was from Gingers house which I cut out using spellbinders die and again inked with antique linen. I added some gauze/ cheese cloth behind some of the papers while putting it together to add a bit of texture to it, I also added some shocking pink pink and green ribbon (from stash) and also made a large double fussy bow addind a square gem to finish.
I then added some flowers (didn't make them this time)but it still seemed to need something else and I couldn't figure out what and then it hit me pins hadn't used them in ages and ages and so glad I did aas it sets the card off perfectly
To finish the card I made an insert using the same papers as on the front only matting them digitally this time and also using the image but as like on most of my inserts leaving it uncoloured and adding with love to the other side.
Well there you have my card for today I hope you like it and I will leave you with a lust of challenges and of course another look at the super cute image
Thank you so much for popping over remember kettle is always on :oD and your comments are really appreciated. See you soon
