Stripping back and a first

Hello everyone yes it's me again I know 2 posts in as many days how will I cope, well I have a couple more to ahow as well as this one so be warned hehehe :oD

As most of you will know the craft fair was on at the NEC last week and I braved it again to my peril even with ear buds firmly in place it was sooooooo loud and busy took me 4 days to recover but I did enjoy it seeing all the usual friendly peeps and watching the demos.
I went with a sort of shopping list I wanted the full set of distress markers, some stencils, sparkle medium, Frantage and then what ever else caught my eye. Well the only thing I didn't get was the frantage :o( but never mind have ordered some on line and just waiting for it to arrive :oD

So I have had a little play with the distress markers they are taking some getting used to when using then with my digi images , but yesterday I got the chance to finally have a play with my stencils, I did a couple using the stencil dimension paste I got from sweet poppy then had a light bulb moment and got out my distress inks and markers and this is what I came up with  and must say I am really please with it for a first attempt and enjoyed doing it

this is the piece before I made it into a card  I put the stencil of the trees in place then inked over it with distress inks  faded jeans, stormy sky, chipped saphire. Then removed the stencil and using the makers coloured the trees using a mix of brushed corderoy gathered twigs vintage photo and frayed burlap, then onto the fence with tea dye and wild honey  then used picket fence as high lights
when dry I went over the whole image using a brayer and sparkle medium to give a glittery frosty look then went in to add more detail with crystal stickles and white opal liquid pearls.

I cut it down to size and matted onto white card then using a scrap of card I colourd using the same inks as I did the background on image I inked that to match hen I mounted the image onto that  I kept the card pretty simple just added a few gema and a piece of ribbon with a sentiment

and there you have it I hope you like it

and I will see you soon thanks for stopping by
