Ooohhh Baby baby

Hello everyone and a BIG hello to my new followers I hope you enjoy my creations and pop in regular the kettle is always on :o))))))
I hope you have all (sorry Sandra) been enjoying the gorgeous weather here in the UK it has been so warm here and I for one am delighted but I still stand by what I said earlier and that is I think we will have a bad winter we were lucky this year as we hardly had anything so we are due.
Anyways enough about all that I have a card for you today I was asked (by my dear hubster) to make a baby card for a couple that have just had there first baby a little girl.
So I knew I could go all out with the pink and the glitter and I get to play with some of the super cute baby embellies I got from the states (I knew there was a reason I got them lol). The card is another whopper 8 x8" I know I keep making this size but you can put so much on them :o))))))))))))))
All papers are freebies and matted onto white card all of which have been distressed and inked with momento Angel pink spun sugar and worn lipstick DI.
Then I glittered the edges with glam pink stickles and pink diamond dust glitter. I used a papertake weekly sketch for the LO
I made the image myself taking 3 different baby elements and putting them together adding the greeting and baby's name  then cutting out and distressing and inking in the same way as papers but then I decided to add a bit more glitter just around the image

As I said earlier I got most of the baby embellies from the states except for the dummy which is attached to the bow I brought those from the NEC fair last year. the ribbon and lace are from my stash.

I made the insert using the same papers and digitally punching a circle then brought in the image from the front of card for the inner face page and adding the baby's DOB and weight

And then added a sweet little verse on the other side.
There you have it my baby card I hope you like it (I hope the parents do too) I will leave you with an arty view of card and image and a list of challenges I would like to enter it into.

Thank you for popping over and all your lovely comments I will see you again very soon take care.

I am always blown away by 8x8 cards, because, as you said, you can put so much on them and to me that makes them a gift themselves, not just a card! This one is a marvelous gift, Jacki, that will kept with the new baby keepsakes forever! It has everything you could possible want in a baby card!! Thank you so much for playing again in my NBUS Challenge!! Hugs, Darnell

What a beautiful baby card for a little girl! I love all the elements you added. Also welcome to blogland. Like you, I am fairly new too. I started blogging in January. And, I craft in my kitchen too. We always thought I would have a craft room, but that never materialized so my kitchen table is half used for eating and half used for crafting. LOL

Hi Jacki. Love the card and the new blog which I've only just found. Crafting and blogging time has been sadly lacking lately due to work. Anyway as you are 'crafting in the kitchen' are you likely to post some recipes maybe!! The odd cake or meal perhaps???? Ya can't blame me for tryin. Hope you're well.
