Fairy Fun

Good afternoon again my lovelies,  yes it's me with another card Oh my goodness how will you cope 2 cards in 2 days (shock horror). It's nice to hear some of you are enjoying this cool weather while some are not!!!!! I guess that is it now for another year no more warm weather to look forward to only cold darker days and nights and the the "C" Word!!!!  Don't make me spell it you know exactly what I'm talking about I was actually contemplating making a "C" card the other day but soon dismissed the idea it's ways way to early to think about that. Although it does have a nasty habit of creeping up and biting me on the bum ;o0

anyways enough drivel on with my card OMG did I enjoy doing this one? oh yes I certainly did!

For the LO I used a bearly mine old sketch but I do like this LO and use it quite a bit

Now the card is 8 x8"  so another big one and I have chosen colours those that know me will know I don't choose very often at all (no idea why as I thoroughly enjoyed playing with them)

I went with bright oranges and yellows (sharp in take of breathe) all papers are freebies as per usual and have been didtressed and inked with various "orange" shades of DI's

Now I really went to town with this gorgeous image by Jadedragonne

this is what I used to get the finished look
she is coloured in with pro markers

Light fawn, satin, almond (skin)
Buttercup, canary, pineapple crush (hair)
Gold, sunflower, yellow, lemon chiffon (flower)
Amber, mango, pineapple crush, paptel yellow (tights)
Marsh  green, pear green
Mango, yellow,  blender (wings)
Mandarin , pineapple crush  blender (top)
White opal buttercup and gold pearl liquid pearls
Yellow, fruit punch and cinnamon stickles

now for the flowers I did intend to make my own but then I decided I had loads of yellow and orange flowers so may as well use those and do a little up cylcling in the process the large centre orange flower and the 2 smaller yellow flowers are from hair grips and bobbles (never used in that way mind) I see them ibn a shop and think "oohh they'll look snazzy on a card " so buy them with that in mind :o)))))))
the berries and grass pod thingies are from USA so are the leaves and the rest are from stash

as for other embellishements I have kept it pretty simple and just added a few gems as it's quite a busy card as it is, with all the floral goings on and the detail on the image, so I didn't want to add much more.

Oh forgot to mention the spirels in flowers I made myself using micro beads and flower soft with craft wire

and here is a side view of card
right well that is it for me today I have some more to make so no doubt I will be back very soon, but for now I will leave you with an arty view of image and a list of challenges I want to enter.
