Definately not square

Hello my friends well it seems to have been forever since I last posted a card with everything going on with my mother then I make the decision to finally break away from her for good and try to get things back to normal and guess what my blinkig PC dies on what a bummer still the only things I have really lost were some pcs so can’t grumble I had ghad the old one nearly 10 years and it was used every day.
So I have now stepped away from my mother and all the hatred that comes with her and have had a new PC and ironed out all the glitches that came with it (there were quiite a few)so it’s now time to get my crafty head on I have only really made abouyt 3 proper hand made cards since January this year and my mojo has been itching to get started again (She is still in shackles after goin AWOL lasy year bwahhhh)
So what have I got for you today well I have my DT card for the new Polkadoodles challenge (all links ate below at bottom of post) the theme for you lovelies is always anything goes but for the DT gals our theme this challenge is anything but a square.
For my card I gone for something omplertely different to my usual style o9f card in every way possible and boy oh boy did I enjoy making it it was so much fun.
The card blank is appx 6.5 x 4.5” the beautiful papers are from the Beau Paperie collection. These papers are gorgeous I ut 3 to matt and l.ayer the 2 more to make a large tag.
Then got the dress from the Winston collection (embellishments ) and the butterflies from the summertime collection cut all out and distressed edges then inked with a mix of DI’s. I then added frantage to the tag.

To make the card up I used a chipboard frame and dressmakers dummy from my stash which I painted with starlight acrylic paints (I love these paints need to add more to my collection) then added some frantage, I made a large shabby bow from organza ribbon, I had a brainwave with this as I wanted a very soft floppy bow and the organza ribbon can be quite stiff, so I cut a length off and wet it under the tap then just rubbed it dry in a clean towel and perfect lovely soft ribbon. I also added some vintage looking lace and a doily I cut in half putting one half at the top and the other at the bottom all from my stash. I added the bow to the tag then added some pink feathers as well (well why not)
I made the sentiment in MCS while printing off the butterflies and dress and cut out then embossed with holographic powder and a little bit of frantage. The butterflies I embossed the top layer (I printed 3 of each so I could layer them up for dimension) wit holographic powder then made the body from a flower stemen and pearl beads just by threading the beads through the doubled up length of the stemen I think they look so pretty like this.
I added a touch of glitter to the dress then added the fussy bow to the tag to finish off. Hope you like it I think you’ll agree this is anything but a square card. I will see you later with another DT make see I’m like a bus don’t see anything for ages then 2 come in one go

Hi Jacki,
I think you may have our theme wrong as it was BIRDS and FEATHERS Not wings that butterflies have.
But you card is very lovely and wonderfully created.
Such a very pretty one too.
Thank you for joining the MAWTT Challenge though.
Good luck with your new PC.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L. DT
