Hello my lovelies well I hope you are all ready all I have
to do is the Christmas food shop I hope
I can still get a turkey as I have had top leave it until last minute as I have
no room in my freezer, plus we’re only getting a small one this year as it’s
not worth getting a big one as a lot of it gets wasted, seeing as we have
Christmas dinner at Phil’s parents house then we have turkey sandwiches and all
the trimming later (Carols sherry trifle
yummy)
Anyway the I have a card is one that I made for Carol as she retired on
Thursday just gone, I wanted to make her a very tongue in cheek card and I knew the exact image I wanted to use.
Now I have kept the card really CAS just focusing on the
image really. The paper I used is from Pixel scrapper and I inked with spun
sugar DI and distressed the edges.
I printed the image and sentiment out together on water
colour paper. As I said I LOVE this image she reminds me of the lady in the
home alone film (4 I think it was)
she is called Aunt Helen and is from Mo Manning (link
below) and I have coloured her with a mix of my Polychromo, Pablo,
Luminance and Prisma pencils. The funny thing is all the time I was making this
card I had the song Parklife going through my head and was sooooo tempted to use
some of the lyrics on the card,
“I feed the pigeons, I sometimes
feed the sparrows too
It gives me a sense of enormous well-being
(Parklife)
And then I'm happy for the rest of the day safe in the knowledge there will always be a bit of my heart devoted to it”
It gives me a sense of enormous well-being
(Parklife)
And then I'm happy for the rest of the day safe in the knowledge there will always be a bit of my heart devoted to it”
But decided against it lol
To embellish the card I made a bow out of pink hessian
threads (see told you I can’t stop using them
now lol) and added a large pink button
To finish the card I made the insert in my usual way using
paper from the front and bringing the image through then I added a retirement
verse
Hope you like it and I will see you soon with some more
makes

used
