For a special friend that always sparkles

Hello my lovelies I hope you all had a grand weekend and this post finds you fine and dandy. Did you remember to turn the clocks back?? That extra hour in bed was so lovely lol.

Anyway I have a card for you today that I made a while ago but couldn’t post it on here as it for a very special friend who’s birthday is today. 

It’s an 8x8 card (I know I love that size I can’t help myself) the papers are from pixel scrapper and have been distressed and inked with distress inks then I have splattered with diluted paint and frantaged them to make them look even more shabby chic.I rolled one of the corners added cheese cloth behind to add texture.

The embellishments are mainly handmade (flowers are anyway) the butterfly was die cut inked and embossed then frantaged a little and added pearl detail to the body. The bird cages are made from candle holders I cut them out (about 4 of them) layered them on top of each other and then once dry inked and frantaged. I made the bow from organza ribbon.

The image is from Mo Manning and I have coloured with polychromo pencils

The sentiment was printed off then I added clear embossing powder to give and cracked glazed look and added some glittery binding to the edges.

To make the insert I found o verse that was very fitting for my friend so I added this to the papers. I decided not to add the image to the insert but spread the verse between the 2 pages
