Anything goes at polkadoodle

Hello my crafty friends no I haven’t got my days mixed it I know it’s Friday and not Tuesday but I have swapped sides yes I have jumped ship and joined Polkadoodles so you will now be getting my DT inspiration on a Friday. 

So for my first Polkadoodles DT make I have made a Christmas card  I have used papers and image from Twiggy and toots Christmas collection and work and play 5 festive Hollybobs and one that I made myself

The card is my usual 8x8”  card  I distressed and inked the papers from the festive hollybob collection and then made the brown paper with blue snowflakes using the glycerine  technique then while still damp I embossed with a snowflake folder then went over with my stormy sky distress ink once dried out.

The image I coloured with my lovely Pablo pencils (I looooove these pencils did I tell you that) masked the image and created the background, then cut out and distressed the edges.

As I had to make the card blank I added a length of ribbon to hide the seam and then die cut a snowflake to embellish the card. I finished the outside with a sentiment from the Twiggy and toots collection as soon as I saw it, it made me giggle and I have a couple of people I know that I could send it too(just have to decide who gets it lol) I decided to make the sentiment into a tag which was a freebie die from a magazine and added some jingle bells tied on with some christmassy red cord

For the insert I took another of the sentiments this time part of a chorus and added the image again to tie it all together using one of the inserts from the festive hollybob collection to match the paper on the front.

So there you have my first card for Polkadoodles DT I hope you will join us remember our challenges are now always anything goes so NO EXCUSES  we’d love to see you play along.
