Ugly Sweater

Hello crafty peeps I hope you’re all having a great weekend whatever you are up to and this post finds you fine and dandy. Well what can I say it’s been a busy week here at the house of cards all the new card coming out for Phil and yes muggings here has to help open boxes and sort out (blurrrrr) also I have had a few cards to make which will be coming up very soon. Ohhh I am super excited about the next 2 challenges over at Digi choosday so be sure to to keep you eyes peeled for my posts on these (I loved making them).
Anyhoooo enough waffle I do have a card for you toady and one I couldn’t resist making as soon as I saw the image, you all know I love, love, love Mo Manning images have done for some time and even if I’m not making a card using them I am still buying them and getting itchy finger to colour them. But this one couldn’t wait, don’t know why but she is adorable so here’s is my card
It’s an 8x8” as per usual the papers are freebies (sorry have no idea where from as I have had them a while and it was from before I started to keep a note of where I got things from) I have distressed and inked edges with DI then using one of Jule's sketches for the LO I designed the card.

The image is called ugly sweater  or you can the gorgeous Bess and corgi with her wearing a sweet owl jumper if you prefer Mo has ever done a version where can get Bess with owl jumper andalso the ugly jumper(jumper only not girl) together so you can mix and match her(you can get them all here). That’s the version I got so I over layed the ugly jumper onto both Bess and the dog and then added my sentiment. I couldn’t resist this sentiment you can see her thinking it so be like me and just come out with it hahahaah.

I have coloured her in with a mix of my polychromo and Pablo pencils then  using a mask and DI’s made the background  I then cut out, distressed the edges and inked to match.

The embellishments I  made making 2 small crackers from some of the papers and some sparkly red thread then the bow was made using some wired wide ribbon and attaching to small bells to it.

For the inset I have gone with my usual design taking one of the papers from the front then matting with a white faded piece bringing through the image which for this I decided to keep black and white.

Then I added another short greeting playing along with the sentiment on the front (why not hahaah).(sorry about the top pic on the insert one I got a bit carried away with my white balancing and exposure lol.

Anyway remember to keep your eyes peeled for Tuesday’s post from me for the new Digi choosday challenge. Enjoy the rest of you weekend no matter what you’re doing and I’ll see you soon
