Ribbon and Lace

Hello my crafty friends,  I hope you’re all well and this post finds you fine and dandy.
We have another Anything Goes for you guys this week over at Digi Choosday (I really can’t believe how fast these weeks are going I’m sure they have become shorter lol)
For us DT girls the theme is Ribbon and Lace so a chance to get all girly yayyyyy
I went full out on girlyness (if that is a word) and  went totally OTT as I tend to do sometimes
My card is 8x8”,  I didn’t have any 8” card blanks so had to make mine using 2 A4 sheets of card.  As there is always a seam when you do this I usually join the 2 pieces so the seam is inside the card (you can then hide it with the insert) but this time I decided to make the bottom layer of DP longer a wrap it around the back of the card. This can give it a lovely finish and hides the join perfectly also.
My papers and image all from the http://www.polkadoodles.co.uk/winnie-fruit-punch-big-bundle-printable-digital-craft-stamp-download-digiscrap/  collection I  love this collection the images are so sweet and perfect for most occasions .

I have printed the papers onto matt photo paper then distressed and inked the edges then I added frontage and diluted acrylic paint splats (making a mess yayyyyyy). I then matted these onto white card as well as added lace around the edges of one of the layers.

Before adding the layers onto my main DP I added some ribbon 2 in organza a wide gold and thinner cream piece,  then a strip of cream with pink stitching. With this in place I added this to my main paper on my card.
For the image I used one of the pre-coloured images which I also printed out onto matt photo paper  I printed out 2 copies so I could use one as a mask so I could create my background using distress inks. Then I distressed the edges as I did with papers and inked.
I printed off the sentiment, this isn’t from the collection but I thought it was so fitting for the image. I then coloured using distress ink and added lace to the edges. To finish off the outside I added a fussy bow in the wide ribbon I used across the card.
For my insert, again my usual style using paper from the front matting with a white faded piece then adding the image and a simple greeting.

And  voila, there you have it. Hope you like it.
