Friends make things easier

Hello guys I hope you’re all fine & dandy it’s blooming cold here this weekend where the hell is spring and the warm weather it needs to hurry up is all I can say.. So what have I been up to? Well not a lot really, I had my Caran d’Arche Luminance and Pablo pencil sets come (loving them all) and I’ve made 2 cards that are practically the same which is the reason for this post.

So the cards are 8x8” and the papers are freebies from a Magazine CDRom and are by Sarah Paris I distressed the edges and inked with worn lipstick DI and matted onto white card which I also distressed.
The only thing I did wrong was the one set of papers that are flag cut, I cut the the wrong way so I had to reverse the LO of the card otherwise the flowers would have been upside down lol oh well not to worry.

The images are by Mo Manning and called Wagon both versions available here. I dont get to colour  many “darker” skin tones so yes I need more practise I know so it’s nice to see both versions available and to do them. They have been coloured with my polychromo pencils (I coloured these before my others came )o:) I added the sentiment to the image I thought it was pretty apt the way she needs someone to pull her along so ….

I kept the embellishments really simple and just made some rolled roses and some hand cut leaves as I thought the card was pretty enough and didn’t want to overdo the embellishment side of it (less is more so to speak)

For the insert I did my usual style using one of papers from the front them faux matting with white and bringing the images through, this time just keeping them on the one side and uncoloured and then adding a friends verse

Anyway there they are 2 for 1 bargain! Hope you like them and I will see you soon

Happy Crafting

Such beautiful coloring and shading, Jacki! Adorable cards, I especially like the girly soft pink combined with the tomboy toughness of these wee ones. The layering is REALLY fantastic - I would never have thought of using patterned paper like that, and it is remarkable! Thank-you for joining us at the Crafts Galore Encore Challenge "Make a Card".

P.S. I'd love for you to visit by my personal blog if you have a chance. Thanks!
