I love being me!!!! (part 1)

Hi guys I hope you are all fine and dandy and having a creative week so far, mine is not so bad apart from the pain in my ears that seems to be atone of it’s all time highest, injections have well and truly worn off now (not that they worked much this time however due to idiotic Dr’s ) and I have to wait until the end of the month before I get the next lot. I have to say that I really can’t wait and be honest who in their right mind wants injections put in the temple and jaw area (both sides) (me!!!!!) I’m not doing to bad thank you!

I have made 2 cards and it’s only Tuesday (well it is when typing this hahaha)
I have had such a blast colouring these new images from Mo Manning they are soooooo darn cute have you seen them? (no!!!!! why not get over there and have a look you will love them)
So  today I will show you one of the 2 cards I made yesterday (Monday)(are you confused yet? Me too!) Now I will let you into a secret the 2 cards are very similar the one is a boy card the other a girl card the one I am showing today is the girl card so you know what’s coming tomorrow don’t you? (come on keep up)
I am really pleased with how this came out as for a change I decided to go with a darker colour for skin rather than just the usual white skin tone I do. Now I have done a couple of these in promarkers and they have been OK but for colouring with my polychrome pencils this was a first well, 1½ the very first one ended up as the mask for the background as my colour choice was way, way off and I only coloured half her head but there was no recovery she was doomed!!!!!!  So luckily I always print a couple off together (just in case)and good job I did too and this time was much better (please don’t ask me what colours I used as I have no idea and there was so much blending. Ooops here’s me waffling on I’d best show you the card

The papers are from Pixel scrapper and are freebies I got them in blue and just changed them to pink in MCS. I inked with worn lipstick and picked raspberry DI then matted onto white card which I distressed (well I have had withdrawals you know!!!) The LO is from a sketch from Jules

I had seen the image(s)(BroncoBecky) in colour on Mo’sFB page someone had coloured them in and popped them on to show their WIP and, it was seeing these that the greeting for the front of the card popped in my head. I had already printed off the images ready to colour so as soon as I had that light bulb moment I was off to it (well they don’t come that often hahaha) Like I said I coloured her in with my poly’s then used the mask (cough cough) and went over the background in spun sugar and worn lipstick DI I then did the edges with picked raspberry and matted onto white card.

To embellish I added some ribbon and some sweet buttons and a little cross stitch thread, and a few flat backed gems

As usual the insert was made using the same papers faux matted and bringing the image through to tie it all together then it was a hunt for the perfect verse.
I didn’t want a birthday verse or a baby verse but something that could be used for either and there they were one for a girl and one for a boy perfick!!!!!!!!!

And that’s it I hope you like it and I will be showing the blue version tomorrow so until then, I will leave you with another look at the image and a list of challenges I wouldm like to enter it into.

So sorry you have to wait until the end of the month to receive the injections. Pain is very difficult to live with. Sending you warm, gentle get-well hugs, Jacki.

Your card is pure bliss! DARLING sentiment - works so perfectly with your beautifully colored little girl riding so merrily on her toy horse! Pretty buttons, and fantastic layout in the background!

Thanks for playing in the {Our Crafty Corner Challenge}! Hope to see more of your pretty projects again soon!

Oh! Jackie, this is absolutely PERFECT for the modern young miss, from the image to the sentiment and the verse, your colouring is awesome, what an absolutely brilliant card. Can you tell I love it.

I can't imagine the pain you must be in with your ears, hope your "playing" helps to take your mind off it sometimes.
