Get well X 2

Hello my crafty friends I hope you’re all fine and dandy and having a great week so far it has been a pretty crafty one for me I have managed to get the other card my MiL asked me to make done (that will come shortly. I have also made 2 get well cards as I have two poorly people I know :0( One is a very dear friend who has just had surgery and the other is an Uncle that has been very ill in hospital which I only recently found out about thankfully both are on the mend so I thought I would send a little Jacki love in a get well card which is what I’m showing today I will show them both as they are more or less the same jut one is done for a male and the other for a female so I added a little ribbon and a bow (plus changed the colour for the friends one)

Those that read my posts regular may remember me making a get well card towards the end of last year I used the Nurse from Mo Manning and as the card was for the same friend who is more like family really even though she lives so far away we are always in touch with each other one way or another talking most days(she has been through the mill bless her) I couldn’t really send her the same image could I??? So Mo to the rescue again this time in the way of Bernard!!

So I will tell you how I made the one for my Friend(purple) but they are both the same LO just different colours

It’s my usual size (well just a little bigger than) 8x8” the papers are from Pixel scrapper and as I said I changed the colours of the papers in my graphics programme as one of her favourite colours is purple so that’s why I picked it (I think the original colours are all blue as I chose them for the male version)
I have distressed the edges and inked with various purple DI’s then matted onto white card which I also distressed. I followed an old sketch for the LO.

Like I said the image is from Mo Manning called Bernard (isn’t he adorable) I have coloured him this time with my Prisma pencils (yes I went over to the dark side) but thoroughly enjoyed using them as I hadn’t for a while.
I then added glossy accents to his nose to make it look a little wet and also to the red cross on the barrel. I then distressed the edges of the image and inked with the same DI and mounted with 3D foam onto white card.

I printed the sentiment off at the same time as the papers using a pun for
For the embellishments I kept it pretty simple just using 4 buttons  with some purple ribbon and then made a fussy bow. For my uncles card I just added some ribbon to the buttons but tied it off at the back.

The only main difference in the two cards besides the colour is the insert for my friend I have gone with a jokey friend get well message we both love our 4 legged friends so I know she will understand it. And for my Uncles I have gone with a more traditional message. As usual I have used the same papers as on the front and brought the image through to tie it all together choosing this time not to colour the insert image.

So there you have them I hope you like them and I will see you very soon enjoy your weekend whatever you’re up to

Surprise Jacki, its me. I am so blessed and honoured to call you my Best Friend. You have stayed with me through thick and thin and this latest scare so soon after the surgery was terrible. But, Jacki to the rescue with this amazing card and I love it, in my favourite colour too, you know me so well, hahaha.
Gorgeous image, super design and of course amazing colour too. This is another fabulous card to add to my collection of "JACKI CREATIONS" made with such love and detail.
I hope that it wins a least one of the challenges, it deserves too, a sure WINNER in my eyes. Thank you so much sweetie.
LOTS OF LOVE and MANY HANKS.
