Anniversary Rose

Good morning my crafty friends and how are we all on this lovely Monday morning (yes I am joking it’s horrid here today, it’s so dark I’m having to have the light on at this time of day (appx 10:45am) how depressing :o(

Oh well there’s nothing we can do about the weather I guess so on with my post

Today is a special day for 2 reasons one it would have been my dear Dad’s 91st birthday today I still miss him dearly he was such a lovely man, don’t get me wrong we had our run ins with each other but he was just the kind of man that if he could help he would and that would be it he wasn’t after the glory or gratitude he’d do it because he wanted to and could.
The reason is because it’s my dear Mom & Dad (in laws) wedding anniversary 47 years they have been married and that is why I am posting this today as I had to (of course make them  a card)

It’s big again I know some of you have liked me making the smaller ones but I thought this should be a biggie so here it is
The card is actually about 8½” sq and the papers are from pixel scrapper and nitwits which I have inked (but not distressed)with fired brick and frayed burlap DI

I used the same sketch for the LO as I used for the cute as a button card I made last week  it’s such a versatile sketch that can used for any shape of card.
The image is a new release from Mo Manning called A Rose  which I have coloured with my polychrome pencils then used a mask so I can stipple the background using antique linen, frayed burlap, walnut stain, Tumbled glass, broken china and faded jeans DI.

I made the sentiment on my computer when designing the card and inked with same DI, then added 3 buttons to which I added mesh bows.

The insert was made using the same papers this time matted digitally and the bringing the image into opposite corners of each page then added an anniversary verse.

So there you have my card for today I hope you like it and I will see you very soon

I love how digis afford the opportunity to print large, and sometimes a larger card is better for a very special occasion. Your pencil coloring is outstanding! Fabulous card!
