Do you want to build a snowman

Hello my crafty friends I hope you are all fine and dandy and enjoying the weekend despite the weather, it’s blooming cold here today and wet )O:

So anyway not long to go now before  the big day I hope you’re all set and ready I just have a couple of cards to make and a couple more prezzies then  I’m good to go apart from last minute food shopping and the bird of course.
As you have probably guessed I do have a card to show you today, I had to really crafty day on Wednesday and got 3 full cards made whoop whoop yes 3  yayyyyyy so I will be showing you them in due course obviously.

The card I’m showing today is being sent to my Grandparents in Law. She the lady that I have to put a good verse in the cards I make for as she loves a nice verse (they make the card is what she says bless her)

I have again gone for a very clean and simple look (well for me anyway) I have to say I am really liking this look and most of my Christmas cards have been in this style and I have loved making every one of them, so it may become my signature style I don’t know yet so watch this space.
Anyhoo it’s an 8x8” card and the paper I think is pixel scrapper buy I’m not 100% sure it’s a kraft paper with snowflakes so I kept the colours of the images to suit.

The paper was distressed then inked with vintage photo DI and then mounted onto the card.

The images are called fairy snowman 1,2,3 and come in a set from the wonderful

Mo Manning  and I have paired them up with the gigglingsnowman image. I wanted to make this card last year but never got round to it with one thing and another so made a point of doing it this year.

The images were merged together then printed off with the sentiment, Then coloured with my polychrome pencils.

I then die cut a fancy snowflake using a snowflake die from memory box and also the corner piece is from them as well. For the centre of the snowflake I cut a smaller snowflake from and die set from memeory box then frantaged them all and glued together  adding a gem to the centre of the snowflake.

Of course I  HAD to add glitter (well it’s Christmas!!!!) and distressed the edges and inked with gathered twig them mounted on the card with 3D tape.

For the inside like I said I paired the images with giggling snowman and decided to put him in full glory on the left insert he is also coloured with polychrome pencils and I then went around the outer edges with a light grey pro marker to add a little depth. Then of course some more glitter was added.

The idea of the card is he is finished product that the fairies have made.
Then on the other side I added the most important part of all yes the verse.
And there you have it my card for today. Yes I have another 2 made ready to show so fingers crossed it won’t be as long between posts (sorry about that)
With that being said I will love and leave you I hope you all have a wonderful week ahead and until next I will leave you with another look at the super sweet images and a list of challenges

What a lovely card Jacki - great colour choice too and I really love the giggling snowman - especially as I had a hat very similar to that when I was a baby (only 65 years ago!!) Brought a smile to my face! Thank you so much for entering the Crafty Calendar (Let it Snow) Challenge this month, lots of luck to you. Hugs Sue Pxxx DT.
