Hi all I hope you are fine and dandy and had a wonderful Christmas, we did although for me it was rather loud so my ears are still ringing and very painful (oh well it’s only once a year) New year will quieter but not by choice we have to do these things to make life easier where pain is involved and if that means miss out on parties and so on then unfortunately that is what has to be done. So it will be a quiet one at home just myself and Phil perfick!!!!!
So I have a card for you today I have to say that although I
was happy with the card itself I am far from happy with the pictures but it was
so dark and dank here when I took them so please forgive me.
I made this for my MiL to send to her friend who’s birthday
was the 27th Dec she was also having a surprise birthday bash which
yes I was invited to I popped in had one drink and had to came home as it was
way, way to loud for me even with my ear buds in. Everyone was in fancy dress
as it was a 60’s night, no I didn’t get
dressed up as I knew I wouldn’t be able to stay as I was still in pain from Christmas
day as well as it being too loud. But from what I have been told and by the
pics I have seen a great night was had by everyone so all good!
The card is 8x8” and I have gone for another art deco design
I did think about doing a jokey theme card as the birthday girl has a mental
sense of humour but thought I would go for a more classy style instead
Papers are from pixel scrapper and have been distressed and
inked with walnut stain
The image was printed onto resin coated photo paper then I
glittered and added gems
I used a sketch from Jules for the LO the sentiment was printed out then cut
and inked
To finish I brought one of the papers through and added a
verse I decided not to add the image to the inside this time just a simple
sentiment opposite the verse
So there you have my card for today I have one more to show
before the end of the year so see you soon
