Hello everyone I hope you're all well and enjoying the little sunshine we have bee having. I hope it lasts.
I had a message Thursday on FB can you make a card for me please? I answer yeah no problem when do you need it for? …. Tomorrow??? What!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well I said it would be a challenge as I was out all Friday morning but I would do my best. The person who the card was for said well I can leave it until Saturday morning (yes!!!!! Much better) best get my thinking cap on. What sort of card do you want? A sister card and just do what you do (was the reply).

With this I go a quietly scream in the corner…. You get
where I’m coming from right? (please
say yes)
So Thursday night I go through my images looking for some
inspiration I have known the person who asked for the card for quite a while (I made the baby card for him and
better half last week)but I know nothing about his sister so had no idea
what she liked anything so I just jumped right in and came up with this
The papers are from nitwits (various collections) which have been distressed and inked
with iced spruce, hickory smoke, worn lipstick and picked raspberry DI. Then I matted
them onto white card which I also distressed.
To embellish the papers I added lace and a lace bow to one
of the papers then across the lower middle I added a strip of burlap which I
coloured with a grey alcohol marker as brown didn’t go with the colours I had
chosen (0: to which I added pink polka
dot ribbon and a burlap bow.
The image is I forgot by Mo Manning and I coloured him in
Thursday night after printing everything off, we all know this is what takes a
lot of the time designing cards so once that was done it was just putting it
together.
I coloured him in using promarkers and polychrome pencils, I
would have added more detail if I had had a little longer to make the card but
never mind (cough
cough)
The flowers in the corners are digital elements from pixel
scrapper and I fussy cut them out then added pink and iridescent glitter to the
petals and a coloured gem in the centre.
I also added a flower to the burlap bow.
To finish off I added the sentiment which was also inked with
picked raspberry and worn lipstick DI.
Then it was onto the insert which I made using some of the
paper from the front and bringing the image through to tie it all together then
adding a lovely sister birthday verse. Job done and it was ready by 6.30pm
Friday night (ok
the glue was still wet but it was complete) See always up for a challenge
just give me more time next time please
Hope you like it and I will see you soon with another baby
card
