Hello everyone well we had some thunder and lightning Friday night and today had been much cooler (Gggrrrrrrrr!!!!!). I had a really good day Friday too, I managed to get 2 cards made for Phil’s birthday next week now I just have to make one from Amy for him. Shame I couldn’t do the same today oh well never mind there’s always tomorrow I guess.
So my card for today is one I made for hubby this one is
from his Mom & Dad I have made an 8x8” card blank and the papers are from nitwits
and pixels scrapper
I have distressed and inked the edges of the papers with
faded jeans and rusty hinge DI.
The image is from Mo Manning and has been coloured with polychrome
pencils I tried to be a little more adventurous with my colouring and tried to
give him proper eyes as in whites and colour now this is my very first attempt
(Mo I hope I have not
upset you :0))) I know it’s not perfect but….
I have known Phil for nearly 30 years now and TBH I really
don’t know if he ever had a kite when he was a lado, but I was fed up with
doing football cards I thought I would do something different this year (you should see the one from me
hahaha)
I was going to put some string on the image to go as the
kite string but I got so wrapped up putting it together, I totally forgot until
I had attached it to the backing card (ooopppps!!)
I generated the sentiment both on the image and the separate
one on my PC and then to finish I added 3 buttons with thread.
To finish off of course I made the insert using papers from
the front and also bringing the image through to tie it all together.
So there you have my card for today I do hope you like it and
I will see you all very soon with another make but for now I will leave you
with a list of challenges and another look at the super cute image

Hello Jacki. Well this is fabulous. Love the cute image and it is coloured in so wonderfully well. The papers are perfect and I love the embellishmnts and perfect sentiment.

Wow Jacki, this is just wonderful!! Your image is coloured to perfection, I'm sure Mr Manning would be happy!! I love the bit of twine tied around the buttons, such a great fit with the kite strings. Such a great card for parents to five to a son, your hubby must have loved it! hugs :)
