A new arrival

Hi Everyone, I hope you are all well it looks like we could be having some sun here today it’s been quite nice today so far ( let’s hope it lasts ).

It’s really hard to believe we’re on the last day of July already it doesn’t seem 5 minutes ago I was panicking because I still had to make Phil’s Birthday cards, I think I need to get my Chrimbo head quick before that sneaks up and bites me on my ……. Well you know where (0:
Anyway I have a card for you today it’s one I had to make pretty quickly too, but it’s always nice to make a baby card so I didn’t mind.

Now I have made a card similar to this before but I think it’s just an adorable topper that it’s timeless
The card is for a very old friend (old as in we have know him for years not that he is old lol) but we had sort of lost touch with over the years (like you do)Anyways the wonders of FB and Phil and he got chatting and it turns out he and his girlfriend were due to have a baby then 3 days ago little Scarlett Lilly arrived so I made a card for them

It’s 8x8” the papers are from Pixel scrapper which I distressed and inked with worn lipstick and spun sugar DI then matted onto white card

This is the sketch I used for LO (PTW )

The image is one I made myself using a collection of single images from MCS and other sources
I added a touch of glitter to the baby blocks (well you have to don’t you (0: )

It was then onto the embellishments, time to go to town haha I am so glad I got all these baby embellishments last year when we went to America they have come in so useful and they just the job
I added the baby grow to one of the labels and a pink bottle to the other then the large nappy pin (I know we don’t really use these anymore with disposables but they are still associated with babies) then I added a large fussy bow made with pink organza and pink polka dot ribbon before tying the knot of the bow I added a dummy.

Once the front was complete I added the insert made using the image and one of the papers used for the front, I then added the babies name weight and DOB on the left hand side one the right I added a lovely baby verse to complete the card.

We popped the card round today and the proud Daddy invited us in and I had a cuddle of the new arrival she is gorgeous and sooooooooooooooooooo tiny . Congrats to both Paul and Jane on the birth of your Daughter.

So there is my card for today I hope you like it and I will leave you with a list of challenges I would to enter it into.
Thanks for popping over and I will see you soon xx
