Hi everyone, I hope you’re all well it looks like summer has
finally decided to pay us a visit although I’m not sure how long it will last
but I’m keeping everything crossed it’s for a while yet.
I have a card for you today and I think it’s a very, very
first for me (I
know that doesn’t make much sense but you know what I mean) In the sense
that this card is VERY clean & simple and a one layer card yes you read
right a one (1)layer
card. I wanted to challenge myself and I had left these cards that were needed
until the last minute (naughty
me!!!)
So I printed my image onto 300gsm card stock twice just in
case and that was it no papers nothing eeekkkkkk what am I doing!!!!!!
The image is The big guy grilling by Mo Manning (how did you guess????)and
at first I was going to colour it in with promarkers but I started and well it’s
a good job I printed it twice I hated it it seems since I have found (adult)pencils the
promarkers don’t “do it for me” anymore :o((((
arrgghhhhh I used to love them so much!!!!!

Anyway take 2 and out came the prisma pencils I totally
enjoyed colouring this guy in and it seemed fitting for the recipient who is
Phil’s Uncle nearly all the pics we see of him he is at the BBQ so this image
seemed spot on for him (hope
you like Mark hahaha) To finish off the image I masked it off then with stencil brushes added some distress ink to the background to add interest.
Then it was simply score in half and add an insert I didn’t
take a pic of the insert as it was just a simple one saying happy birthday.
So there you have it my first one layer card hope you like
and I will see you very soon with a card I made for Phil’s Aunty but for now I
will leave you with another look at the image and a list of challenges I would
like to enter it into

Absolutely fantastic pencil work Jacki! I'm not as comfortable with them as my Copics. Your clean and simple design lets the image really shine through. Thanks so much for joining in the contest at Mo's Clubhouse!
