Daddy will always be king

Good evening all!! it looks like summer is trying (note I said trying)to make an appearance, it’s been lovely here today.

Well I thought I best show this card before it gets way to late as I’m already a few days late showing it
Yes you guessed it it’s the last of the Father’s Day cards I had to make this one was for Amy to send to her dad

The card is 8½” square, papers are freebies from pixel scrapper and have been inked and distressed.
Image is of course from Mo Manning called love you Daddy you may remember I made a card using this image not so long ago I have coloured it with polychrome pencils then inked and distressed the edges

The sentiment is the same as I used for them other card as well as I think it’s brilliant for a father’s day card from a daughter it actually comes from a fridge magnet that Amy brought her Dad when we were in America last year (it’s hard to believe this time last year were in USA)

I finished the card off with 3 large buttons  it’s really hard finding embellishments for male cards don’t you think?

Finally of course the insert as always (well nearly always)I  have used the same papers from the front and brought the image through to tie it all together leaving it uncoloured (The main reason I do this is because of the paper I use for my inserts it’s a heavy weight matt photo paper and colouring it isn’t that easy as the coating doesn’t allow the pencils to blend very well and if using marker well it just soaks the up so best to leave it uncoloured I find unless I decide to go a very light colouring)

So there you have my card I am now starting to make Phil’s birthday cards as his birthday is the middle of next month I also have to make one for his aunty and uncle that live in New Zealand as their birthdays are just after so watch this space
Take care and I will see you very soon and leave you with a list of challenges I would like to enter it into
