Birthday Buttercup

Hi everyone Oh my life can you believe we’re almost half way through the year already I can’t believe how fast the years are going lately especially this one. In a way I am glad though it hasn’t been a great year, I’ve had better put it that way.

Anyway I have a card for you I still have father’s day cards to make eekkk best get a wriggle on (you know me always last minute) but today’s card is a Birthday card I have made for my Mom –in- Law to send to her mom (my Nan in law that likes the verses) her birthday is the end of the month and she will be 87.

So for my card I have gone with a slightly different colour theme for me still having pink in it (of course) but this time with yellow I don’t use yellow very often and I have no idea why(?????)
The papers are freebies as usual I think they are from pixel scrapper but not 100% sure so don’t hold me on it. I have used the same paper for all layers using a plain pink piece for the faux mat and a beautiful floral for the main. The edges have been distressed and inked with picked raspberry DI.

I don’t usually use the same papers like this but I thought it would make a refreshing change and of course as they are digital you can crop and resize to make them look more interesting.

The image is called baby fairy buttercup and is coloured with my polychrome pencils then I have used distress inks for the background.
The sentiment has been generated on my computer and distressed and inked to co-ordinate with the rest of the card, then I kept the embellishments pretty simple using just flat backed pearls in pink and yellow.

Of course as the card is for my Nan in law I couldn’t say it was finished without adding a verse so using the same papers as on the front I made the insert bringing the image through to the bottom corner but not colouring it. Then found the perfect verse (well I hope it is lol) and there you have it I still have one more to do for this birthday but can’t decide on an image Hhhmmmmmm Ms Manning has a lot to answer for!!!!!! I can’t cope with all these choices lol

Anyway that’s it from me for now I will see you soon and I will leave you with another look at the super cute image and a list of challenges

Take care x

I recognise that super-cute image, absolutely adorable and coloured beautifully. Love your papers and the design, I just love lots of layers. Pretty co-ordinated pearls to add to its beauty.
