Rory for birthday princess part 2

Good afternoon everyone how are we all today good I hope.

Yes I’m back with another of Amy’s Birthday cards. I have to say this is one of my favourites I am loving this one.
This card is one I have made for my Phil’s Nan to send so it’s basically from Amy’s Great Grandparents and I have gone with this image as it really reminds me of Amy when she was little.

So here it is the papers and LO is very much the same as the ‘flowers 4 U’ card I made last week. As I said in yesterdays post I coloured the images for Amy cards in before designing them so when I coloured this one I thought how well it would go with that design, so that’s what I did.

The papers are freebies from pixelscrapper a great source of freebies from papers to embellishment to LO’s, love it, except the white piece across the centre I made that using a paper mat and an overlay which I changed the colour of.

They have of course been given the Jacki distressing treatment and inked with peacock feathers, weathered wood, then layered together.

The gorgeous image is called Rory and she is of course a Mo Manning darling (I have always liked Mo’s images but for some reason I can’t get enough of them lately :0D )
She has been coloured using polychrome pencils and I would like to thank Amanda for giving some great skin colour tones to work with (Amanda I love them thank you :0D) I then made a mask (I always print out 2 or more of the image incase I make a booboo and one ends up in the bin :o(( so I used one of those and then with stencil brushes added DI to the background and to stop her floating. Then I cut her out using an xcut circle die but her hair was sticking out through the die and if I had left it would have chopped her little piggy tail so I had to cut into it to get it sit over the die (it felt like I was doing major heart surgery one wrong snip ... :0(((  )

I kept the embellishments pretty simple just adding 4 turquoise gems to the sentiment and bottom corner, a fussy double bow with a glass stick pin (I got these from USA last year and haven’t used them yet I think it looks great on this) and then to bring out the pop of pink on her clothes I added a single pink flower.

So that was the front done now those of you that have been a follower of mine for a long time will know that when I make a card for the lady that is sending this one, I have to put a good verse inside she always says a card isn’t a good card unl;ess it has a good verse bless her (she’s 87) but finding them can be a challenge in itself lol, but I think I have found one that she will approve of and I managed to put Amy’s age in it which May (the sender)seems to like also.

Again I used papers from the front of the card to make the insert then using a which mat I digitally punched a circle to lay over so I could bring the image through (which I very lightly coloured with poly’s) and put the verse on and basically that is it as you can see the card is another large 8x8” which I love making
Right ell my lovely people I will love and leave you for a little while but fear not I shall return  hahahah

Thank you for popping over and all the lovely comments they are all very much appreciated. If you’re not a follower why not I would love to have you over for coffee and chit chat as long as you bring cake :0D
Anyway here is another look and the super cute image and a list of challenges I would like to enter this card into  see you soon
