Sailor boy

Good afternoon to you all, well it looks like spring could actually be coming it's been lovely here today apart from a few drops of rain it's been really bright and sunny, a little chilly at times but still pretty nice.
It's hard to believe the clock go forward already this weekend this year is flying by again and to be honest I'm glad as it hasn't been the best of them as yet but never mind we still have 9 months to improve!!!!!
Still on with my card yes I have another card for you today again it's one using a Mo Manning image it's another of the set of sailor boys and I think this one is my favourite out the set in fact I made 2 cards with him but will save one for another day(I'm such a tease hehehe)

The papers are freebies from pixelscrapper they have been given the Jacki distress treatment as usual and inked with DI walnut stain, gathered twig, faded jeans and fired brick, then matted onto white card which has also been distressed.

The image has been coloured with pollychromo pencils and I'm really pleased with how it came out especially his hair (there was loads of flicking going on lol)I also used them very lightly on the background just dusting it to give a hint of colour then distressed and inked with fired brick and also matted onto white card

The embellishments are from pixelscapper too including the waves which I cut out and inked with faded jeans the candy buttons were cut out distressed and inked then I added glossy accent and a touch of glitter (well I haven't really used any since Christmas so was have withdrawals)

To finish off the card I made an insert using the same papers faux matting with a white faded white mat and brought the image through to tie it all together then I added a small verse. I decided to leave the image on the insert uncoloured this time

And so there you have my card for today I hope you like it and as usual I will leave you with a list of challenges I would like to enter it into and another look at the ever so sweet image.
Thanks for popping over and I will see you all very soon
