Nautical but nice

Hello my lovely crafty friends, I hope you are all well and having a lovely weekend. Mine has been OK had a bit of sickness but in the week but that seems to have gone now thankfully.
One day last week I was on FaceBook and popped on to Mo Mannings FB  page to see if she had put any new images on (she really needs to stop releasing these gorgeous images it's costing me a fortune hehehehehe) anywayI saw an image I hadn't seen before although it wasn't a new one it was part of a set. The ladies over there are so ubber ubber talented and I just fell in love with this image so yep I got the set, anyway after purchasing(Here) the set I set to colouring I set to colouring them in on Friday night.I already had some nautical papers so new I wanted to use these on my card the hardest choice was what image to use as they are all very very cute!!!!
So what image did I choose I hear you ask??? ok I will put you out of your misery
here is the image I used

He has been coloured with my Pollychromo pencils I do love these pencils I like the control you have with them. I could sit and colour all day long I find it so relaxing.

Anyhoooooo back to my card
The card is 8 x 8" the papers are freebies from Pixelscrapper and so are most of the digital embellishments but more about those when I get to them

The [papers have been distressed and inked with DI salty ocean and fired brick then maounted onto whate card which has also been given the distress treatment. The sentiment was computer generated using a Pixelscrapper I then printed this off with the papers and the other embellishments.

The little sail boat is the only embellishment not from PS this is clip are piece that I have had for ages and seeing the images for some reason reminded me I had it (light bulb moment)

I added red satin ribbon from my stash and instead of making a bow I just did a little sailor type knot. The candy (with pirate ship) and the anchor along with sentiment in frame were cut out and for the sentiment I went around the edges with a metalic (red gold) promarker (I used a punch to cut the candy out) then I covered them with glossy accent and let dry (while watching The Voice GO TEAM RICKY!!!!!!!!!)

I distressed the edges of this and inked with fired brick then mounted onto white card again distressed and once the embellies were dry I added these to the card

To finish the card off of course you need an insert so that is exactly what I did

I used the same paper Ihave used on the card then used a white mat bought the image and the little clip art boat which I added to the bottom outer corners and then put a verse in. The image has been lightly coloured again with pollys not doing to much detail as the mat paper I use for printing my DPs doesn't grip the colour to well (but then it's not meant for the purpose)

Hey presto one finished card, I do hope you like it and I will leave you with a list of challenges I would like to enter it into and another look as always of the super sweet image
Thanks for popping over and leaving comments, they are all very appreciated as are all my followers.
So until next happy crafting and take care.
