Hello eveyone I hope you are all well and those over here in UK keeping warm Blooming Nora it's cold here.
Well what has been going on since my last post well not much TBH we have a family funeral on Friday which as most deaths come as shock this one was a massive one. Those of you that have followed me through my other blogs may remember about 18 months ago we had 2 deaths in 6 weeks Husband and wife (it was phil's mom's Aunty and Uncle) well their son passed away in January he has had ill health and was really ill but nothing to make us think he wouldn't be with us now. In fact he spent Christmas with us and was a lot brighter and more himself than he was last year, so yes I came as a massive shock.
But these things come to us all I guess I haven't got a sympathy card as the only close family he had really was us so nopoint sending ourselves one is there :-/
I do however have a card for you and I am really pleased with how it turned out, I have been playing a lot lately with Mo Manning images (think they are gorgeous)I coloured this a few days ago when I made the I♥U card
here it is
The papers are from Nitwits and have been distresses and inked with picked raspberry DI
The image has been coloured with distress inks, reinkers and distress markers (still getting the hang of these but loving them)
I decided to make a belated card using the elephants never forget saying and made rolled roses to with it using the same papers and added a pearl to the centres
I saw this tutorial from Melanie Heaton about a paper bow and flower and so decided to give it a go
and this is the result I am quite pleased with it and think it works well with the card. It's so easy to make using punched circles.
The card is a large 8x8" card and I think you will agree for me is pretty clean and simple for once hehehe
I will leave you with another look at the gorgeous image and some challenges I would like to enter
Thanks for popping over it's always lovely to read your comments
see you soon
