Take a bow

Hello Happy New Year to all of you I see I have a couple of new followers a big welcome and I hope you stay and enjoy the journey with me

Well have we broken any new years resolutions yet I haven't as I haven't made any hahahaha I have just made promises to myself and I always do my best not to break a promise soooooo
Anyway I had a lovely day yesterday designing cards then I decided to get one made up so thought I would show to you

I have coloured the image in using my distress markers and it's really the first time I have coloured with them when doing a person. They are so so different from using Pro markers and I really have to rethink about how to colour it's going to take some getting used to but I did enjoy it.

So it's another  8X8" card the papers are freebies but I can't remember where from I have had them for ages they have of course been distressed then inked using worn lipstick DI, then I matted onto Kraft card and white card which was also distressed and inked with brushed corduroy DI.

For the image well isn't she adorable of course she is from Mo Manning and called Baby Bow
As I said I coloured her in using distress markers I used

Antique Linen, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain (skin)
Antique Linen, scattered straw, wild honey (hair)
Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry (clothes)
Antique Linen, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain (background)

I then distressed the edges and inked with worn Lipstick also added so shbby pink frantage and matted onto Kraft and white card as with papers

I printed the sentiments onto the same paper as I used for backing sheets making one into a tag.
I added pink organza ribbon,  a pink gem and frantage to this then added to card.

I added the same ribbon to the buttons then added a large fussy double bow with a flat back gem in the centre, I also added some gems to the border

So there you have my first card of the new year using a new technique (distress markers) hope you like it and I will leave you as always with a liist of challenges I would to enter it into and another look at the super cute image
