Hello every one and a BIG HELLO to my new followers I hope you enjoy what you see and stay with me on this incredible journey.
Well what can I say it's all go here I am trying to have a major clean and I mean deep deep clean and de-clutter last week I had to ask a neighbour if I could put some stuff in her bin as mine was full I have so much junk it has to go!!!!!!!!!
Are you bracing yourselves for the weather we about to have I am I knew it was coming we had such a mild one last year this years winter has to be a bad one bring on summer already.
Anyhoooo I have inbetween my attempts to deep clean I have made a card and I can show it now I know it has arrived to it's rightful owner, I couldn't post it before she had iot as it was sort of a surprise
So something a little different for me in a couple of things
1, It's an easel card (but it still opens like a regular card at the bottom)
2, No patterned papers just Kraft
So how did I make it well first of all I took a piece of digital kraft paper and digitally cut out the 3 fairies from Mo Manning and added them to the Kraft. Trimmed it to size cutting some of the fairies legs and wings off (sorry Mo) but I wanted the to over hang. I added frantage I then printed out the Kraft card again and also changed the colour to a purple/ blue and printed that out distressed and inked with frayed burlap and broken china DI matted and layered for top panel
then for the underneath of top panel (didn't take pic of this) and the bottom piece I put it through my cut n boss (love it) and embossed I sanded some of the colour away then inked again with frayed burlap and also gathered twigs to add dimension I also distressed edges (of course)
I made the semtiments on my PC and frantaged these too then set to work on the images.
I printed the images off again seperately onto card coloured each one individually and fussy cut out then added thread and wool to each one
first we have purl
I coloured them all in using promarkers crea markers and prisma pencils then I made a slit by her hands and threaded the wool through gluing as I went
Next we have Needle Fairy again coloured the same way this time I added some of that fringe wool made a slit in the eye of the needle and by her feet and threaded through to wrap round
Finally we have Bobbin
this time I used embroidery thread making slits either side of the cotton reel and through the eye of the needle then leaving a length hanging from the needle to look as though as though it was in use
I added a button to his sash and of course I glittered their wings after using H20 in iridescent blue (but it wasn't sparkly enough)
I attached the fairies using 3D foam tape along with sentiments then added some flowers (Hobby house) No I didn't make them and then a huge fussy double bow from wide brown organza ribbon and hessian finishing off with 3 gems
Then because it was someone very very special I wanted to put a verse in so I made a normal A5 card and attached this to the bottom of the easel and added a matching insert (sorry about hand in pic only way I could keep it open to take photo)
I used Bobbin uncoloured to tie it all together and there you have it hope you like
I will leave you as usual with an arty look at image and a list of challenges
Thanks for popping over and I will see you very soon
