Christmas spirit

Good morning fellow grafty folk I hope you are all keeping well and warm. Well I know I say it every year but blooming heck ain't this year gone quick. I blinked twice and we were in July blinked again and now it coming up to the C word eeeeeeeekkkkkkk.
Oh well at least I have some presents if no cards :o/

Anyway onto a card I do have for you, I went over to http://mosdigitalpencil.com/ the other day to see what was new and I had had my eye on the gorgeous baby fairies for a long while thanking shall I as I have seen so many people using them and colouring them to make them look even more adorable than they already are (yes I know it's very hard) but when I go to go the shop I always seem to go to the blog so of course when I saw her last post I had to read (you should check it out) I find it hard to believe that people still do this after so long.
Anyway I headed over to the shop and I think I treated myself to about 6 or so images (well it is Christmas heheh)

Unfortunately those that no me will know my christmas card making mojo is rather hit and miss until about 3/4 days before the big day then it suddenly decides it wants to play(how thoughtful).
Well with my new images and some new crafty goodies my lovely hubby treated me to (a set of 135 prisma pencils yayyyyyy)I was dying to use them but had no mojo then I saw a card and click so I want to say a big thank you to jeanette for the inspiration I love the LO of her card so took that to create mine

now a first for me in a long time I didn't run to my PC to print off the papers Ooohhhh no I went to my cupboard opened the draw with my actual papers are in and took out my christmas papers yes I used paper from paper packs. I did break into a sweat as I haven't done it in a long time as I usually design the card from strat to finish in my pc before printing all the things I need altogether.
The papers were freebies though so no change there just from magazines this time there is a mix from Bo Bunny to hot off the press.
Also a first id the die I used to edge the papers I have had it over 12 months and never used it but thought I would it's a curved edge and although most of it's covered I know it's there :O)
Phil has also brought me the cut n boss  embossing machine for christmas but has put it up the loft so I can't use it before then so had to use my ever faithful cuttlebug (no he's not going on the scrap heap I shall keep him close lol)Oh the embossed backing piece is from the folder that came free with the Cut n Boss (well I had to make sure it worked )

So for the image isn't he adorable I think he capture the true meaning of Christmas when you have a young child. You can spend a fortune on the present but they are more interested in the paper or box it came in.
This actually reminds me of a dog we had Toby (before Jasper) and he was a nightmare every Christmas I would wrap presents up for people but he would never let them open them he would have to do it for them. The one night Amy was only about 4 I put her prezzies under the tree before we went to bed Xmas eve and with in minutes I heard the sound of paper tearing. I went down stairs only to find Toby helping himself to opening her presents just so he could play with the paper (I sooo miss him especially this time of year)

Anyway the image has been coloured with my new priosma pencils (Ooooohhhhhhh I loooooooovvvveee them) I know I'm not nearly as good as some of you when it comes to colouring but for a first attempt I am really pleased with how it came out
I added just a touch of glitter to his hat (well it is Christmas) but didn't want to much to take anything away from the image then I cut it out using an Xcut die and matted with a spellbinders die.
Have you noticed there is no inking and no distressing boy that was distressing for me it's like when you are trying to stop biting you nails it's all you want to do

I printed off the sentiment then cut out using same dies as for image(only smaller) then added 3 gems to it. Finally I added a red satin bow to match the ribbon I used on papers and there you have it

So I hope you like it and I will see you soon
