Commissioned engagement card

Hello everyone I hope you are all well and keeping warm (Bbbbrrrrrrrrb hate winter)
Well can you believe it I actually got 2 yes 2 cards made yesterday from designing to finishing touches all complete whoop whoop!!!! the reason being I went into our local(ish) post office and ladies that work there know I make cards there are two ladies that work there most of the time and one that covers (she works in their other PO) anyway I went in on Thursday and the Donna (the one that covers) was in.
' I'm glad I've seen you' she said 'you're just the person I wanted to see'  I had a feeling what she wanted as she had asked me to make her a mother's day card earlier in the year (obviously)
She said she needed a 50th Birthday card and an engagement card could I make them for her.
Well I needed a reson to try and get my creative juices flowing again they have been a little dry lately so I said yes no problem when do you need them 'Tuesday' she replied yikes!!!!!
Anyway I had a couple of ideas and yesterday it all seemed to come together really well I will show the birthday card at a later date but for now here is the engagement card

Now bare in mind all the info she gave me was for both cards she wanted a 50th for a female
and an engagement for her brother and his girlfriend but nothing to young and they were in their 30's
That was it nothing else (good job I like a challenge :oD)
So here is the engagement card

My initial thoughts were if I go with the Art Deco look you an't really fail as it suits all ages (and I get to get the glitter out hehehe)

The papers are all pfreebies as usual and have been distressed and inked with Shabby shutters spun sugar and victorian velvet DI then matted onto white card which was also distresses

I glittered the image with a selection of pinks and iridescent glitters then added micro beads to the straps of her dress

As it was an engagement card I decided to add a gem to her finger to look like a ring

I made a double fussy bow and added a large gem to it then used crystal stickles around the edges of the papers for added bling

The sentiment was crated on my computer and inked and distressed to match

I also added some more gems to one of the papers just incase there wasn't enough bling :oD

Finally the insert

I kept it pretty simple just using the same papers as on the card and digitally punched a circle out for the verse to go into and there you have it
Hope you like it and I would like to enter it into the following challenges

Hi Jacki, Very nice! I agree Art Deco is good for anyone. :) I love how you glittered her dress and headdress? That's what I am going with ... hat is too small a word for all those swirls! :) Thank you for sharing on this weeks Artistry Challenge! Be sure to come back Saturday-Monday to vote for your favorite two crafts. :)
